El Andalous Lounge & Spa Hotel in Marrakech

It wasn’t great. The hotel is old. The bathtubs are clogged so water drains slowly. They don’t even have bathroom slippers (free or for sale). The room didn’t have a kettle, or tea or water but it did have a fridge. Good location, close to the mall and markets. The staff were nice tho especially Mohammed.

A hotel that gets the job done. It's showing its age and could use a renovation. The breakfast is very basic and of average quality; there are much better options for similar prices.

We’ve been loyal guests at this hotel for years, but our recent stay left us deeply disappointed and questioning whether we’ll return.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was soured by the receptionist’s behavior. Unprofessional, arrogant, and condescending, their attitude made us feel anything but welcome. A smile or basic courtesy would’ve gone a long way, but instead, we were met with cold indifference and a sense that we were inconveniencing them simply by checking in.

The breakfast, once a pleasant part of our stay, has drastically declined in quality. The selection was minimal, the ingredients felt cheap, and the overall atmosphere was uninviting. Nothing felt fresh, and the service matched the food—unfriendly and disengaged.

It’s genuinely sad to see a place we once enjoyed degrade like this. We always appreciated the familiarity and comfort of staying here, but it’s clear that standards have slipped across the board. Unless there are some serious improvements soon, we’ll unfortunately have to find a new go-to hotel.
