My experience at Sahara Hotel Apartments Muscat was extremely disappointing. The customer service was terrible, with zero attention given to any of our complaints. We tried many times to contact the manager, but all staff members refused to give us the manager’s name, phone number, or any way to reach them. They completely refused to cooperate and would not budge.
The air conditioning was broken, the floor was sticky, and there was a bad smell in the room. Sanitary conditions were very poor and unacceptable. Housekeeping was no help at all. The beds had dirty, sweaty, sticky bed sheets, and we were forced to wait until 4 a.m. just to receive clean pillows and bed sheets. Because of this, we couldn’t sleep at all.
Overall, this place lacks basic hygiene, maintenance, and professionalism. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

The place is already old & needs maintanance. Some broken stuffs. Rooms are smelling smoke while sheets are not so clean. The location is good because if surrounding shops & accessibility.

Stayed in Room 511 for six nights. The Wi-Fi connection was intermittent and slow—dropping every few minutes and making it difficult to work or stream video—and coverage inside the unit was limited. The bathroom lacked basic amenities: there was no toilet paper, soap, or shampoo despite multiple requests, and the shower drained poorly, causing water to pool on the floor and leaving a persistent damp odor.

On the positive side, the nightly rate is very affordable, and the staff proved trustworthy: when I forgot my watch charger in the room and returned a few hours later, they had safely placed it on top of my bags for me.

Overall, Sahara Hotel Apartments offers a budget-friendly rate and reliable staff service, but struggles with connectivity, basic supplies, and bathroom maintenance, which need to be enhanced.

We booked this place because the images and reviews on Booking.com looked decent. It is not.
1. The whole kitchen was FILTHY.
2. To light the oven you have to stick your arm inside.
3. The cabinet doors throughout are crooked.
4. There was grime all over the tissue box.
5. There was no outlet that matched the kettle's plug.
6. The bedroom AC vent wouldn't open and the remote did nothing so it was either fully one and screeching at the highest settings... or off.
7. We had to ask for towels.
8. Staff seems not well trained.
9. I found a toothpick on the floor outside the bathroom so the flat has obviously NOT been cleaned well at all.

If you're looking for a filthy dive to stay in and don't really want to use the kitchen provided, this could be a good choice for you but otherwise the only things it has in its favor are spacious rooms, no bugs, and a bed.

The bathroom doesn't drain, no Sanitizers or Handwashes or tissues in sight in the room. The garbage has not been taken from rooms as long as we stayed. The cleaning services never once visited the room until we stayed. The kicthen and fridge are unkept. Won't recommend to anyone. Find a hygienic one plz. It looks fine at first sight but things unfold as you stay. Big 👎

Very bad experience during qaurantine.
Non cooperative staff.
Not providing water more than half litre 3 times a day.
No laundry.
No body came to clean the room in 8 days.
Poor breakfast same menu.

Below Average hotel !! they can maintain very well but they are not willing it seems because of the customer service and responses for thier queries. If you see WiFi is available, no need to believe. It's totally fake since they have the modem only for show without internet connection.. They were thinking like the customers are idiotic and uneducated.. whenever we ask for solution on a problem they will say same thing to irritate us. If you consider less price you can go or else don't waste your time here.

Been visiting regularly. Excellent buffet. Variety of tasty kebabs. Biryani is delicious. Sweet dishes are great esp hot gulab jammuns. Cozy interior with a very friendly staff.
