Overall, it's a very refined and quiet place. What really left an impression was the beautiful scenery along the river near the hotel.

The air conditioner was noisy, and the hotel amenities were very limited; there wasn't even a comb. However, the hotel's location is good. Although the hotel is older, it doesn't feel outdated overall.

It was a good stay overall but there was a glitch for the room lights, which meant we slept with the lights on theoughout the night. We were compensated for it though and the service was good.

Cleanliness: Nothing much to say about cleanliness, as it's a basic requirement for a five-star hotel, something that must be there.

Facilities: The facilities are pretty standard. My main complaint is the central air conditioning. It's supposed to adjust the temperature, but it's basically just for show. It's either too cold, or if you try to turn it down a bit, the fan just shuts off completely, which is a bit confusing. Can't it just circulate air, or maintain a certain temperature with minimal ventilation? And for such an expensive hotel, there's no exhaust fan or ventilation in the bathroom. You can imagine the smell after using the toilet.

Environment: The environment is pretty good, being close to Clarke Quay. During my stay, late at night, I could always hear the cheers from the nearby bars. I'm not sure if it was a game or some event, but the soundproofing doesn't seem to be very good. I could even hear people in other rooms closing their doors.

Service: I didn't feel there was any service to speak of. Even though it was clear I was a Chinese tourist, there was no Chinese check-in service as mentioned when I booked the hotel. I couldn't understand anything the front desk staff said in English. Luckily, my friend was with me to translate. And they also asked for a deposit, even though I had already paid for the room when I booked. It's really strange, and the deposit wasn't cheap.

Price: In Singapore, if you want a nice, clean hotel, you have to pay a high price. But it feels like you're paying so much and not getting the corresponding service. Breakfast isn't included, there's no welcome fruit, no turndown service, not even a small souvenir. So, I can only say the value for money isn't great. But what can you do? If you don't want to pay a high price (compared to China) for what would only get you an economy hotel level, then you're forced to pay top dollar for a so-called five-star hotel. It's frustrating, very frustrating.

The chilli sauce is a bit more tangy than other places but the crabs were fresh and tender nonetheless. Great riverside vibes and a great place to chill after work or on a lazy weekend evening. Good, fast service!

This place nickel and dimes the heck out of you. They put out peanuts, give you towels- you’ll see those on the bill later. The smallest chili crab was $78. Find a different place to try it.

Enjoyed the unique taste of both the chili crab and pepper crab. Chili crab was less spicy than expected, so no need to hesitate if you’re worried! The bread that comes with the crab is amazing for dipping in the sauce.

Only minus was that the staff would not split our bill without significant effort on our part (party of 10, split 3 ways).

Was here on a Tuesday evening for business function. Good quality food especially the seafood such as chili crab/ salted egg crab etc. Very good service as we were attended with wines/cleaning of plates very frequently. There weren't many guests on this particular evening probably that's why we received more attention. Overall very satisfying experience - food, wine, service. We spent on average $100+ per person including a few bottles of wine. Can be considered pricey but given the prime location/excellent seafood and attentive service, it's decent.

This is a biased review. This restaurant/bar allows fans of US college football teams to attend screenings of games that are broadcast live on Sunday morning. So 4 times this past fall found me up early sipping decent coffee and eating an omelette. If only my team had done a little better.
Great widescreens and a very decent brunch. We drew pretty good crowds of very civil, well-behaved fans (although a bogus penalty call, a fumble or interception elicited an occasional loud yell). But the point is the staff puts up with our crew and really takes care of us. Have taken business lunches there that were quite good and reasonably prices. Also attended an excellent wine tasting event in their upstairs room which is ideal for a banquet ... dark, cozy, lots of space.

If you're looking to enjoy an American football game, this is the spot. We stopped by to see the Steelers play, and had a few drinks. Nice outdoor patio with shade along the water. Not the cheapest place, but get a bucket of Coronas for the closest thing to a deal.

A great place for watching sports, huge TV screens everywhere. Food choices can be improved. I had breakfast here and if you don't eat pork then there aren't much choices except for non-meat omelette. Most dishes either contain sausage, ham, bacon or pepperoni. I was lucky that there was a choice of adding salmon to the omelette. I will only go back if I need to watch a match.

The only reason to go to Boomerang is to watch a game. Can be good fun with entertaining partisan supporters, but invariably a few 'over-indulgers' get out of hand, making it unpleasant. Definitely not a place for families on game days. Outside of the big screens, there are countless better options around the river for food and drinks.

The food is good, definitely better than average. Service has been excellent and the location at Robertson quay is really quite nice. I think prices are higher than they should be for what you get which is the reason I rate 4* instead of 5. I will go back

The happy hours deal is amazing! We like our 1-for-1 beer deal. Service is just okay and since we were in the outdoor seats, it was quite humid and hot. Plenty of seats available so great for big crowd.
