BG Pamplona in Playa de Palma

Very loud room, you heard every toilet flushing from all other rooms above you. Food was bland for the most part.
Location was very good and near the beach.

During my stay at Hotel BG Pamplona, I seriously questioned its 4-star rating. The reception staff were rather cold and unwelcoming, although I appreciated that they allowed me to store my luggage until check-in.

One major downside was the city tax, which I had already paid online but was required to pay again upon arrival. This seemed very disorganized and strange to me.

The rooms are clean but small and rather bland, resembling a hospital room with mostly white and gray tones. The bed covers are thin like sheets, the pillows are acceptable, but the decorative pillow looks extremely cheap. The mattress was too hard for my taste.

The bathroom, like the rest of the room, was very clean but just as uninspired in design.

There was no kettle with instant coffee or tea, which I believe should be a standard amenity in a 4-star hotel. The closet has a safe, but it seems you need to rent the key, which is outdated and inconvenient, especially since you'd have to carry the safe key to the beach. A safe with a combination lock would be more modern and practical.

The balcony is large enough to relax on, but the plastic chairs could use cushions. The terrace light cannot be turned off, and noise from the pool area (live music in the evenings) is quite loud and disruptive, even with the balcony door closed.

The air conditioning works but is very loud on any setting above the lowest fan speed, and the poorly installed vent covers are an eyesore.

Overall, the Hotel BG Pamplona lacks many details one would expect from a 4-star hotel. My experience was rather disappointing, and I would not recommend it as a hotel in this category.
