Absolutely awful experience at Sol Pelicanos Ocas, Benidorm.
I was travelling on my own and had originally booked a family room, but asked to downgrade, fully understanding I wouldn’t receive any money back. What I was given was terrible. The room was in a poor state — just one plug socket, three beds squeezed in with a cot, and barely a proper window. It felt more like a storage room than a hotel room.
The air conditioning didn’t work, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. On top of that, there were groups of people drinking and making noise around 4am, so getting any sleep was impossible.
When I went to reception, the girl on the desk was polite and helpful, but the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional when he came over. You’d expect much better from someone in that position.
Most of the staff seemed miserable, which says a lot about the management.
I would rate this hotel as 2-star at best. The rooms are very basic, and based on my experience, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again — and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, whether travelling alone or with family.
If you’re after a quiet, decent place to stay, avoid. If you want a noisy party hotel, then this might suit you.

We stayed for 7 nights and had a really lovely time. The hotel was great, and the staff were all very polite and friendly, which made us feel very welcome. The pool was a bit on the cold side (lol), but there were always plenty of sun loungers available, which was perfect for relaxing. The food was nice, and although the room was fairly basic, it had everything we needed and was comfortable throughout our stay.
The only downside wasn’t the hotel’s fault at all, unfortunately, we had some inconsiderate neighbours who were quite noisy during the night. Aside from that, we really have no complaints. We had a fantastic holiday and would happily return!

Stayed here for a week good location found the staff very friendly food was OK bit repetitive but choice was fine meat fish pasta and salad.
The rooms were a good size people say a bit dated ok but it was only to sleep in didn't intend to spend a week in it.
Cleaning and change of bedding every day so can't complain there all in all would I stay again for the price yes.

Just a one night experience meeting friends, staff were very good and evening meal and breakfast both buffet style help yourself was enjoyable and plenty of choice. I did not use the bar or pool areas. There is an underground car parking facility which I used and paid by the day, unfortunately I had problems getting out of parking as the card key given did not work twice, however, a technician was called and quickly sorted out the problem. I would recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.

A solo traveller staying in January. A very comfortable clean room nice comfortable bed and a tv with a few English channels. I was in for a week bed and breakfast and the food was very good plenty of choices and nice friendly staff. Being January it's not to busy either. A good location bars and restaurants close and 5 mins down to the beach front. The pool here is amazing but to cold to go in but was nice enough to sit in the sunshine around the pool .

First time to Benidorm, and first visit at the Sol Pelicanos. A couple of negatives, check in was very slow but I think they had issues with the computers, so you maybe best if you can check in online before you get there. Also the sound proofing was very poor between rooms, first morning we could hear nextdoor being violently sick for around 20 minutes! Positives, very clean and the breakfast choice was excellent and good quality.

Lovely stay at sol pelicanos, rooms were as expected, clean and serviceable. Food was good, as a vegetarian I always had something to eat. Service was great, very attentive. Since it's the off season we didn't use the pool, but had plenty of activities to do in the day thanks to Javi's yoga classes! Very funny and great for beginners
Value for money but would recommend coming when it's a bit warmer since the area was quite quiet.

Stayed here with a group of male friends. The property did everything we needed it to do for us and the pool area and public areas were good.
The breakfast was adequate and plentiful but we wished there’d been a better selection of fresh fruit. What fruit there was often ran out and they weren’t quick to replace it.
There was some mould around the bath and the balcony door didn’t lock but we were on the 10th floor and we rented a safe, so it didn’t matter too much.
I would stay here again if I was in Benidorm for a few days.

Short Stay in Benidorm.
Small single room, more than adequate for short stay in Benidorm. Lifts slow & some of the time inoperative. Great access to the night life, beach. Hotel pools lovely, breakfast good standard. Ten mins & 10 euros to old town in a cab, worth a visit.

Stayed in Sept 2025
We stayed in the pelicanos hotel in August 2025 for 5 nights. The hotel was very noisy! People coming and going all night long banging doors, had to go to reception at 04.30am as neighbours came in arguing, the hotel staff did deal with this swiftly, security banging on door within 5 minutes of me reporting it, and resolved issue. I should have realised it would have been noisy, considering the hotel was located at the start of the main nightlife strip. Did speak with others who said they didn't have any issues. Food was only OK. I don't normally have issues with the dining, but did struggle to find food I liked. The toast machines was very slow, had to put toast through 4 times (approximately 5 mins) to get it toasted. Kitchen staff were slow and didn't seem very interested in helping. People were waiting 10 minutes for an omelette. Front door to hotel was out of use for entire duration of stay. Room was good and bed was comfy, with the exception of the shower getting very hot intermittently, be very careful if you put young children in the shower. The room cleaner was excellent, as always. The pool was excellent and plenty of beds, entertainment staff very friendly. I know some points may feel trivial, but collectively can have an overhaul impact on your stay.
