Golden Mar Menuda in Tossa de Mar

I am not one to leave a 1 star review but we have been royal conned with the cost of our windowless room.
We booked last minute on the dayfor a premium double.
When we got there the price went up by €40 so we paid €200 euros for a box room with no window. This was not advertised and I wish we were informed we were going to be in a windowless room as we wouldn’t have stayed at the hotel. It was also a twin though advertised as a double so not romantic for our couples holiday.

We picked it because of the reviews and that it was a 4 star hotel but the room we stayed in felt like an IKEA hostel with an en-suite.
The room was clean but not a €200 room and feel we have been ripped off which is a shame 😩

I stayed with the hotel as a solo female traveller. On departure they called a taxi for me - a company that they use for the hotel regularly - this taxi driver not only locked me in his taxi (as a solo female) but drove dangerously and erratically whilst shouting - he even threatened me and once he (eventually) let me out of the taxi - stood at the bus station shouting (all due to a misunderstanding from the hotel miscommunicating).

I was left incredibly shaken and contacted the Manager following the incident who refused to give details of the taxi firm to be reported and offered absolutely no concern, no assurance that they would no longer use this firm (and therefore put other people in danger) and no apologies. His email was in fact rude and uncaring.

I am in the process of reporting this to the Spanish police but would not recommend the hotel to any women - especially given the response from the male Manager. I have travelled extensively as a solo female and never experienced anything quite so upsetting and dangerous.
