Very bad experience. Staff is dangerous. Manager is a conwoman. Unsafe for tourist. They don’t give blankets. Fraud is the right word for them.

First time I found a hotel that does not provide blankets. They asked us to use the super thin sheets put on the bed. We stayed for 3 nights and had to push them to clean our room and it was finally done on day 3. They cleaned and took away the bedsheet. Picture attached. Refused to cover the bed and asked for more money to do the same. Throughout our trip we met such amazing people in Srilanka. But the staff over here was very bad, extremely rude and they spoilt the image we had of the country. We were travelling with 3 senior citizens and a child and it was a horrible experience. Finally we were helpless and slept without a bedcover and a blanket. Breakfast was not provided on last day too. Avoid at all costs.

Good sized room. Generally clean. Good breakfast. Good location. No issues with hot water. Very tired furniture and decorations. Bathroom especially could do with renovation like fixing broken toilet seats. Issue with ants coming into the rooms. There is a construction site next door at the time of writing.

We had a wonderful stay at Poppies, stayed for a week. Rooms are clean and comfortable, location is great, and although it's in the middle of everything it's remarkably quiet. And best of all is the staff, especially Kushan is a super star. Thanks for everything, we'll be back.

Clean room, staffs are well behaved and kind. Breakfast quality should be improved. Beach is nearby, if you want to have a budget stay, it’s a good place. AC working great. Balcony is nice and spacious. There is iron facilities in the reception.

The room was clean, beds ware comfortable, but it was too small for us. There was a lot of mosquitos, but it wasn't a problem to sleep, because we had mosquito net around the bed. The breakfast was included too, it was simple, but quite okay. The beach was 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem to walk.

This is a great hotel with excellent value and spacious rooms. Mirissa Beach is just across the street. The staff are very friendly. Having morning tea in the beautiful courtyard is particularly relaxing.

Immaculately clean, best location at centre of the beach road side, peak traffic noise from main road can be a slight nuisance. Cheap whale watching trips arranged.
