It's not easy to get to the hotel - the last few kms are especially hairy but it's got amazing views. We spent two nights there and just walked around the property and enjoyed it. The food was decent but they got pretty muddled up with our group of 10 so food arrived in drubs and drabs and was often cold. It's been a long time since we've disinfected the room, and there are all kinds of small bugs on the ceiling. People with trypophobia should be careful. But because the air conditioner in the original room was broken, we were given a suite, which made us happy.

A room costs over 1,500 RMB and accommodates four people (because other rooms are under renovation and cannot be provided). It's approximately 20 square meters, with one double bed and two 80cm beds in the loft above the bathroom. The problem is the extremely narrow and steep staircase; you have to be very careful going up and down. It's extremely poor value for money.

The staff is amazing, perfect food and the location next to the beach is unique.

The double room we booked actually looked like it could accommodate three people. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the room was a bit cramped and the lighting was dim. In December, Sri Lanka is only around 20 degrees Celsius, so the pool was too hot to use. We had dinner at the hotel on our first day. This hotel is small but equipped with everything you need, there's even a swimming pool. Its about 10 mins to lion rock via tuktuk (little hard for us to get uber) but the hotel can organise tuktuk which makes it easy. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Room was small but beautiful and clean. The only thing they needed to improve was the service at the restaurant. They got our order wrong. But they were ever so sorry about it. The rest was ok.
