Absolutely stunning, giant compound with an extensive history! They even offer a history walking tour but unfortunately there weren’t enough people signed up to make the tour happen. If you’re looking for a “colonial” stay, this is a great place. I recommend just walking around to see it for yourself. Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. I might look into other hotels in the area next time to experience something different.

This such a beautiful property in the middle of everything. It provides the perfect homebase from which to explore all the beautiful things that Galle has to offer. We weren’t staying at the hotel but as ours didn’t have a spa, we got treatments at Z Spa at this hotel. The spa is very peaceful - we managed to get a walk in pedicure. The spa therapists (Sayu and Kezang) were so lovely and so kind. Highly recommend treatments at this spa!!

We loved our stay at Fort Bazaar. It's a beautiful hotel - the decor is modern and stylish throughout. The staff are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Highlights included great breakfasts, afternoon tea, happy hour cocktails and pedicures. The pool area provides a place to relax after exploring the fort area. The room is on the ground floor, with a swimming pool right outside the door. It's not far from the beach, but it's not suitable for swimming. The room facilities are OK, and the breakfast is good. There are steps from the lobby to the room. It's not far from the fish market, but it's too fishy and dirty.

We arrived at around 2am, and there were a lot of mosquitoes. We had to set the air conditioner to the lowest setting. Although the beach was not very good, it was worth the price as a transition.

The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. My booking is sea view, front desk assign a room with most of tree view include a little bit sea view to my deluxe room booking. After twice negotiated, finally I got the nice sea view room under my expectation, but the feeling is really bad. The location is inconvenient.

Went to Tartaruga Restaurant for lunch. Restaurant is located in the beach side. Bit crowded with local and foreign tourists. It is open area dining. Went for dinner at the restaurant and loved it. Lovely place right on the beach. We ordered a burger and a pizza. Unfortunately my burger was a bit overcooked the first time but our waiter (in the green shirt) fixed this by bringing out a fresh burger which I found to be 100x better. I think this hotel is already well known as a supportive environment for a solo female traveller.. so quite a few mothers and daughters. It is very beautifully and carefully designed aligned with Ayurvedic principles. It is a really good deal-£78 including breakfast and two hours of treatment which include massage and facial. Amazing stay, I was only here one night but the team organised to have my yoga session and treatments early in the morning as well late checkout so I could enjoy all the compliments of the stay while I had the time here.
