A beautiful location in tropical gardens surrounded by nature. The bedrooms were great with very comfortable beds, good WIFI and showers. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The dinner was fantastic and we made friends with two members of staff, Dilan and Madu who made our stay extra special. We hired a car and there is lots of parking. Only 5 minutes drive to turtle beach in Unawatuna.

We had a very pleasant stay at this well-maintained, green property—peaceful and away from city noise, yet easily accessible. Very cool place. And the biggest value in the villa staff. The manager solves all issues instantly from hair dryer to transfer. Excellent excursions can be booked on site. Was very skeptical before the trip, but the place is super.

A lovely way to start our trip to Sri Lanka. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty, different fruit juices and fruits every day and a choice of how your egg was cooked. We loved the access to the beach and the excellent service provided by Sumutu who looked after us every day. The pool was good for swimming and it was easy to get a tuktuk to other places.

If you visit Unawatuna choose Ridee Villa. It is not on the beach but the building is amazing with a local and colonial touch. The manager and his staff are extraordinary, extremely attentive. All the staff here are fantastic, including the owner Summit, who greets all his visitors personally and is on hand for any requests. Considering the proximity to the main road, the rooms are not noisy, they are clean, comfy beds and lots of storage. Bathrooms are all good too. Lovely place in a stunning area. The hotel has everything you could need and the service is excellent. The rooms are very spacious, food is great and the location is simply perfect. Close to Yalla and surrounded by nature and historical sites, this place has it all. When you visit, go to the rooftop after 5PM to see thousands of birds taking flight and getting back to their nests. Loved it!

It has all the elements to be a very nice hotel. Our room had a fabulous view of the rock and was very spacious. The staff need prompting to deliver but are very pleasant and responsive. The temple close by broadcasts worship from 5.30 to 6.15 so avoid trying to nap at those times. Two good restaurants within walking distance offering simple but very nice food in authentic surroundings.

We booked a 30 square meter room with two beds - one children's sofa and a large double bed. We were put in a much smaller room and when I went to the reception to ask why, I was told that this was the room I had booked. However, the photo showed a completely different one. The hotel is a bit far away from Yala National Park, but in comparison, the price/performance ratio is quite high, with complete facilities and warm service. You can pack breakfast and go to Yala National Park.

The location right on the beach was perfect - a few steps around the bay to protected swimming behind the reef with turtles nudging you for a sea lettuce treat. There are just 2 things good about this hotel rest all is very very poor. The good things is very spacious room and direct view of the beach from each and every room. Breakfast is ok dinner never even think of eating all the food was expired and after telling to the front desk they didn't care at all and over expensive food.

Stopped with my Daughters for 3 nights. The staff could not be more helpful in this hotel with the perfect location. Although it was off season with a rough sea at times the area has a natural sea pool which is safe and can swim with wild sea turtles.

Good location and excellent view at the very narrow beach. We spotted two different sea turtles from our Terrasse and snorkelled with a big one (~1m long) in the shallow waters just a few hundred meters east of the hotel. It’s an older hotel that could need a bit restoration - but that goes for many things in Sri Lanka these days ;)

Had 2 nights stay in EKHO Ella on way from Sigiriya to Bentota. Hotel setting was amazing with wonderful views from our bedroom and the immaculate hotel gardens. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you Sanjeewa, Naveen, Janith and Sanjayo. 100% recommend.

What a magical experience! This is one of the most beautiful views on the planet. From a warm and welcoming greeting on arrival, to friendly meal service, the staff was so kind and engaging. Sanjeewa made sure we had everything we needed, and took such lovely care of us. Seriously, these views. I had a great stay at Suite Lanka in Hikkaduwa. The hotel is beautiful and very well located, right near the beach with an amazing ocean view that makes the stay even more relaxing. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, perfect for enjoying the coastal vibe. The food at Olin Resto was delicious!! everything I tried was well prepared and full of flavor. This was our second stay at this beautiful establishment. From the moment we arrived to ring the front door bell until the moment we left we were treated like royalty.
