Simple yet very clean accommodation, located very close to the beach. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight is definitely the food – freshly cooked dishes, delicious fresh fish and curry and very good pancakes in the morning. Squirrels, monkeys, peacocks in the garden.

Close to the sea but very far from the center

It's just a farm stay for foreigners! No turtles! The sea is just a few minutes away!

An old rather tired hotel but still retains a certain charm. Rooms were spacious and staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool and right on the beach with access to the sea. If you want somewhere quiet, and aren't too fussed about a modern looking hotel, this might just suit.

The hotel is not so clean and the day we are there, in top floor restaurant there is a wedding ceremony. The fanfar of this event is too high and disturb us to sleep.

We had a great time staying at Anantamaa while at Tricomalee. The staff are very friendly and the rooms were clean and quite inviting. There is a pathway you can take to get to the beach and it sure is worth it. We spent most of our afternoon there. Nice Sri Lankan breakfast at the hotel as well.

This was a great experience: The combination of Yoga and Aruyveda was perfect! Asiri is such a great Shivanada Yoga Master. The retreat is perfectly place at the ocean. A wonderful place for recreation and relaxation! The Ayurveda food was yummie-hhmmm!

My wife and I stayed here for one night during our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a great location in Mirissa and the staff were lovely! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The hotel is reasonably priced, however for that, you get a hotel in a good location with nice staff, a clean room and WiFi. I had such a great experience staying at Dorset! The room was cute and cozy, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It felt like a perfect start to my trip. The host was very friendly, and the breakfast was truly incredible. Beds are firm, and sleep lovely. Airco and mosquito net against the mosquitoes made for a quit night sleep. We also got some tips what to do and see, but we only stayed for a short while and thus could not see everything they recommended. They also offer a good taxi service from the airport to the hotel.

We had a fabulous stay here. The room was beautiful (updated from the pictures here on Trip Advisor) great air conditioning, beautifully clean with a really good shower. The staff are lovely- nothing is too much trouble, they make you feel like you’re in a 5 star resort. We enjoyed our stay at The Waves. Our room was only a few steps from the beach, and the restaurant was placed right on the beach. The staff was very helpful through our stay. The location itself is a reason to recommend staying at The Waves. Overall a great hotel.:)

We had a great stay at 8+ Plus Motels Hotel. The room, bathroom, and kitchen were all very clean and well maintained. The pool was beautiful and amazing—definitely a highlight of our stay. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful property, very well maintained! The guava drink provided during check-in was absolutely delicious. To take the experience to the next level, some improvements are needed in maintaining the bathroom fixtures and windows, as a few were damaged. Overall, it was a great experience.

The spot was awesome. Right on the beach, and the restaurant by the pool was amazing! The cabana is super rustic, and we did get up close with some of the wildlife - if you're not into bugs, I'd suggest one of the villas instead!

Everything was great, I downgraded my rating a bit because I thought I saw some bugs crawling in the bed. Otherwise, everything was great, and there's a beautiful beach nearby.

We got the best cabanas very close to the beach about 20 m away from the beach and can hear the ocean sound through out saw the sunrise from the room it self...Though there was no AC we were comfortable. We stayed for two nights 3 days the breakfast was good but rest of the meals they didn't have saying it is off season and we have to go searching for places.

We stayed in a wooden cabana. No AC, but cooled down quickly with fans in the room. You can hear the sea throughout the grounds. Very close to several beach options, so didn’t need the compact triangular pool. Highly recommend Loveena’s restaurant 2 minutes away.
