This is an old-money luxury hotel. Wealthy Swiss people specifically come here for lunch. The service is exceptional; they're incredibly responsive, helpful, and super enthusiastic. The rooms are spacious enough, and the location in the old town is very close to the clock tower, just a 10-minute walk to the train station.

The hotel boasts a prime location, situated in a central area, and is housed in a beautiful old building with impeccable taste in every aspect. The restaurant's terrace overlooking the river is also very comfortable. The only downside is that the bed is too small; for such a large room, it would be advisable to make the bed a bit bigger.

It was a lovely hotel. Although it was a little far from Bern station, it was centrally located and easy to get around.

The hotel is great. Compared with most European hotels, the hardware facilities of this hotel are definitely worthy of the five-star rating. The surrounding old town scenery is beautiful.

Disappointed about the quality what a five-star hotel offered. Besides the poor service of first day front staff, the overall experience was compromised by the room temperature and the missing part of their ways of communication. Sad to say, i wont come back.

We are pleased with our stay, room comfort and sleep quality was outstanding. There were two top quality comforters on a super king bed - this was the first time in our decades of traveling experience that we had something like this, like we have in our own home. Centrally located in Lucerne, right across from the lake, this historic hotel has hosted famous figures like Princess Sisi and Churchill. The hotel's elevator and staircase exude classical European luxury. Upon departure, the staff kindly presented us with exquisite chocolates. We're very much looking forward to returning for another vacation.

The location of Eden Rock is simply amazing, with the lake right at your doorstep and a beach that’s hard to beat. It’s stunningly beautiful, and you can easily spend days just taking in the view or making use of the stand-up paddles and kayaks provided. Breakfast was another highlight – a thoughtful selection, not too big but just right, with excellent quality products that we truly appreciated.

Beware when staying here. The AC in rooms is preset at 24 C with the ability to reduce the temp only by up to 3 C....netting out at 21C best case. Generally it did not work so our room was always about 23C, which for my family is too warm. Also the restaurant in evenings is absurdly overpriced and the food not great...they focus more on presentation than taste. The town is great so if you stay here...

It's just opposite the train station, and there's an underground exit that leads directly to the hotel entrance, making it very suitable for a transfer on the day you first arrive. The hotel's breakfast is excellent, the restaurant environment is very high-end, and the service is very considerate!

This is an established hotel with a fantastic location and unbeatable views from its lake view rooms. The rooms, however, are a bit dated in design, and the facilities aren't the most modern. Breakfast was satisfactory, and the service was quite attentive. Considering Swiss prices, it offers very good value for money.

A beautiful hotel with great facilities. Staff is amazing and the food experience excellent and creative. If you are on the “Swiss Riviera” it is the place to stay!

Can not say enough about this hotel. Absolutely beautiful grounds, great food, and wonderful service. The kids club onsite is great and the hotel and staff really make kids feel welcome but it doesn't give off a family hotel vibe. We will be back!

The hotel was friendly but very family-oriented. We sat around the pool, but so many children were running around and screaming. This was not what we expected. Our booked room was unavailable at 3 pm, so they upgraded us to the same room in the new wing. However, it was close to the baby pool, which was even noisier. The reception staff were fine but not friendly. It took them more than 30 minutes...

Love this place. Service was impeccable but not at all presumptuous. Everyone was super helpful. Front desk was incredibly thoughtful. Details on the property and room were beautiful. Rooms felt like a home without the kitchen. Garden and pool are immaculate. Breakfast was very good for a European bk. They would bring pillows and tea at night. We didn’t get to eat at the 2* place as it was closed...
