Only stay here if you have no alternative. We only stayed 1 night (luckily). It was too hot. No ac. Ants crawling over my body. The floor was broken. The towels looked like hand me downs from a charity and smelled disgusting. The breakfast was just sad, we went to a grocery store later for better food. Tables and floor sticky, again bugs and flies all over.

One bed was very noisy and the towels have seen their better days a decade ago. Staff was friendly! Nice views from the terracce.

Lovely Stay!
We had a great stay at Hotel Firenze Lugano! The receptionist was so sweet and welcoming, which set a really nice tone for our visit. The location was perfect for us — we walked the Olive Trail to Gandria right from the hotel, and it was a beautiful and manageable distance.

We also ate at the onsite restaurant and really enjoyed it — the food was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed. While there’s no dedicated parking, we were able to find parking nearby without too much trouble.

Overall, it was a very nice stay, and the view from the hotel made it even more special. Would happily stay here again!

Lucca and Lulu went over and beyond to make our stay extra special. Lucca offered to give us a ride to the airport at the last minute when we asked for help since we cannot book an Uber. We arrived at the train station just in time to catch our train to Malpensa airport. Excellent customer service.

Beautiful, right near the lake with a restaurant and bar. Owner is lovely and takes great pride in making sure your stay is great.

Why there’s 4 stars - location is a far walk from the downtown, and there were little ants in the room. It was great for us but if you can’t handle that this wouldn’t be for you.

The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to the train station, church, art gallery and central market! The room is well-equipped and clean! The hotel does not have breakfast, but provides free coffee and cookies in the morning🍪

The building opposite the front desk had good security. The rooms were clean and nice. The breakfast was delicious.

Great location easy to access by bus not far from lugano centro and gandria. We had a few pizza and it was really good they have a nice restaurant with the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy.

The good: Friendly staff and overall clean
The bad: Extremely hot, and the shades didn’t go all the way down... we could not sleep all night due to no air and the noise and light from The streets. To make things worse, the fan was totally disfunctional and noisy (cling cling cling all night)
The hotel is well intentioned but I cannot for the love of me recommend it....

Great little hotel. Spotlessly clean room and a good continental buffet breakfast. A little bit out of town, but no hassle with the free Ticino pass as the bus runs every 15 mins. Ideal if you're after a stay in Lugano without breaking the bank...

Positive features of the hotel: Realy great location (not far from center, you can going by bus or afoot. Friendly staff. Affordable price. Cons: monotonous and modest breakfast.

Excellent location, accessible with public transport and car. View is fantastic, staff is always ready to help with a smile, and accomodation solutions for every size of pocket are available. Will return for sure to this place when considering a short trip to Lugano and surrounding.

Hotel is clean n neat, staff are very helpful in all means. Lack of elevator, but the recicieptianist helped us with our luggage to the 2nd floor.
