Phi Phi Maiyada Resort- SHA Certified

Very basic for standard room. Really budget hotel. Staff were pleasant enough. Definitely not a resort, easily worst place I've stayed.

The pool is nice and the staff try to be helpful but it is not the standard I would expect. They did upgrade us to a family room, which allowed both my friend and I to have 2 larger beds than the 2 singles that we booked. This was a nice gesture. The location is nice, a few minutes from the beaches either side and about 8 minutes from the pier. I imagine when it is busy as Phi Phi used to be, this is a nice quiet location but still near enough to the fun areas.
I know these are difficult times in Phi Phi and the travel industry all over Thailand have problems and I know that places will have to adapt, so therefore I do not mind that we have to have breakfast in the bedroom rather than the restaurant but out of 3 days we only received it once. That one time the food was cold and unappealing. On our last day, when food had not arrived by 9 I went to question this. They thought we did not want it and then said they will prepare. After waiting until 10.20, with no food, we had to go out to find something to eat. The hotel owner said, "oh do you not want breakfast, I have sent someone to the shop." By the time they would have bought the food and cooked it we would have been having dinner... It was nice that they would go to that effort but they should have been prepared They also lock the front door at night, which is understandable, but they failed to tell us (or have a sign) that there is an entrance at the side of the building, so we spent rather a long time trying to find our way in. They advertise that if you are arriving by ferry that they will have staff at the pier, however there was no one there and we had to find our own way. This is understandable when they maybe only had us as guests arriving all day due to the lack of tourism but they should have told us. Instead I was sent a message on Booking.com saying that there will be someone there to meet us. Finally, the TV picked up no signal.

Bed and sheets were not clean. The beds had sand in then and the bed sheets were dirty/stained and ripped. Music from nearby places made it hard to sleep and the staff was not super friendly
