Chongkhao Resort in Phi Phi Island

Very badly maintained, mould all over the bathroom, broken and smelly toilet, dirty and stained bed sheets, full of flies inside the room.
The only positive thing is the guy at reception which is overall nice, everything else run away.

It's a quiet place in Phi Phi because it's a bit away from the action. On the other hand you walk a lot.
Rooms have seen better days and are not maintained. Not very clean. Room service did not come (2 nights). Highly overpriced like every place in Phi Phi. Usually I would not pay more than 25€ per night.

I stayed here for 5 days, the room is ok but a bit pricey and far from center.
When i did check out after 5 nights that we took a 2 rooms and pay few thousand THB i came with my bags to the reception and in the narrow passage was a small fan on the floor that I couldn’t see, unfortunately my bag hit that and it broken a little. Obviously I apologize straight away. The first response of the reception girl was to tell me “money money you need pay” before anything else she said, i had no problem to pay but she called to the boss and start to get nervous . In the time that i speak with the boss over the phone the manager come and start yelling me that he call police and he want his money and keep saying police again and again like i was trying to run away or not pay.
I find this behavior really rude and even crazy from the side of the manager when i try to relax him and i tell him that all good im here speak with the boss in front of him and my bags on the floor there is no need to scream or threaten me 6 time to call the police, or to come really close to my face when he still screaming on me and make it feel like he going to fight with me.
It was unexpected way to respond or behaving to a client for sure!
Anyway i would recommend to find a better place to stay with more friendly and nice staff.. and enjoy beautiful phi phi island
