Exclusive small hotel (only 83 cottages, villas and suites), are decorated in Thai style. This magical area of comfort and luxury on a private sandy beach. Rich nature, quiet place. A 10-minute drive from the centre where many entertainment venues and restaurants that offer a huge selection of fresh seafood laid out on ice in a decorative canoe. Recommend for VIP customers.

The hotel features 83 rooms located in a building and villas. All with sea view front or partial, all rooms have a living area, a balcony or terrace with a bathtub.

Beach: own sandy 40 m from the hotel (1 coastline). Beach towels: free of charge (from hotel). On the beach sunbeds: free. At the pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge. Pool towels: free of charge.

Breakfast service was excellent, but the beach bar service was just okay. The air conditioning in the room blew directly onto the bed and couldn't be adjusted, and it was also very noisy.

This was our second time at Garrya Tongsai Bay, and we truly love it here. The staff throughout the entire hotel provide exceptional service, always warm, genuine, and making you feel valued. We were particularly touched when a server at the restaurant remembered us from last year—it really shows that the hotel has a very comprehensive and thoughtful guest service training system in place. The dining is also fantastic; both the seafood restaurant and the Thai restaurant are delicious. The hotel has its own private beach, and while the sand is a bit coarse, it's incredibly comfortable for relaxing. While the room facilities are a bit dated, the excellent service far outweighs any minor hardware issues, making for an overall superb vacation experience. We've already decided we'll be back again and genuinely recommend this hotel.

Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui is one of those places that stays with you.
What really makes the difference is the people. The service is excellent, but more importantly, it feels sincere. The staff are genuinely kind, always smiling, always present, and somehow they manage to make everything feel easy and natural. You never feel rushed or overlooked, just quietly taken care of. Special thanks to "mamy" the fruit lady at breakfast that is a pure expression of joy and the Yoga and Muay Thai instructor.
The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, but without feeling stiff or overdesigned. Everything works, everything feels comfortable, and there’s a calmness to the whole place that makes you slow down almost without noticing. Rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, all of it feels thoughtfully done.
The setting is something special. Surrounded by greenery and right on a peaceful bay, it feels private, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You hear the sea, the wind in the trees, and very little else. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax.
Nothing here feels forced or flashy. It’s just consistently good, warm, and balanced. A place you leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Can't wait to be back to this special place.

Tranquil setting, beautiful resort. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great views and immersed in nature. You must want this type of vacation and enjoy the peace and tranquility. We felt it was a bit far out from Chaweng (vibey spots) which meant us paying a lot for transport. We were a big group so we made it enjoyable. The beach unfortunately due to the weather was not swimmable. That was a bit of a downer.
The breakfasts were delicious and extensive and they had Indian options too which was great! Service was good however there were a few minor issues that one would not expect from a 5 star resort. Overall would recommend however for a 3 or 5 night stay. We stayed for 7 nights and felt that was too long.

My wife and I have spent 7 nights at Garrya, and what an awesome experience it was.

We took a hillside view room. The room and bathroom are of a decent size. Modern with almost all amenities one needs.

The pool and beach are private and quiet with many seating spots. The hotel has some nice areas to stroll and you can climb a nice viewpoint to watch the bay.

Among all other great things, the breakfast and the extreme attentiveness of the staff are really impressive. The staff greets you and is always so helpful. They seem to really care about their guests.

Highly recommending Garrya for anyone looking for a good value, luxury vacation, quiet but still very close to the island main attractions.

Outstanding service: attentive, friendly, efficient, 6 stars. Very generous, well-equipped, stylish rooms with a great view. Lots of steps but electric carts are always available to take guests to the lobby or beach. The rooms by the pool have easy access. Great food. Extensive, high quality breakfast buffet (mainly Western style).

The hotel's location is excellent; it's only a 10-minute drive from the airport. The service is high-standard, especially the food – we tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner and were very satisfied. Authentic Thai cuisine. The kids' club is a bit small, but the staff are very attentive. Our family of three, including our child, had a wonderful time.

We stayed for 10 days in Room 206 and really loved our time at Garrya Tongsai Bay.

The whole team was super friendly and helpful all the time, we felt welcome from the first day.

The beach is only accessible for hotel guests and surrounded by mountains, which makes it feel very private and peaceful.

The resort itself is huge, full of nature, and perfect if you’re looking to relax and enjoy some quiet time.

Our room was cleaned every day and the view was incredible – a beautiful sea view right in front of us. Waking up to this view was just fantastic.🌅🌊

I spent just one night at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui during my first trip to Koh Samui, and it left a far deeper impression than I expected.

From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth — a lovely mix of Thai charm and polished, international service. The welcome drink was delightful, and the traditional string bracelet was a small but thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel at home.

Our seafront room was bright, spacious, and immaculately clean, with a sweeping view of the ocean. I particularly loved the balcony bathtub with the hotel’s own bath foam and salts; the scent alone made the whole space feel wonderfully relaxing.

I also visited the spa, where Ms Lucy gave an excellent treatment. Her recommendation — an organic coconut oil massage — was heavenly, and I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep.

Dinner happened to be Wagyu Night, and the picanha was beautifully done: flavourful, tender, and very good value. Breakfast the next morning offered plenty of choice, and even on the morning we checkout the staff surprised us with a small parting gift that showed real attention to detail.

Before leaving, we were also given a scented sachet matching the fragrance of the room amenities — a simple but touching way of letting us take a piece of the holiday home with us.

It’s easy to see why so many guests return time and again. I certainly hope to do the same next time I'm in Samui.
