Basic with a beautiful view. Beach is almost not existent so may need to walk down along the water as the tide comes in - so mobility is needed. 15 minutes from the food night market. Lovely restaurant by the on the water that isn't expensive with a lovely view. Also a good pâtisserie with breakfast 5 minutes walk from the resort - freshly baked bread w good coffee is always great for me.
Wear deet as mozys are about.

I'm being forced by the property to leave a negative review for the Lamai resort. I deliberately paid extra and chose a seaview bungalow with a single bed. Upon arrival and check-in, I was given a bungalow in the second row, tucked away at the back, with two single beds. The resort staff is denying it and offering no assistance. Instead, they tell us to take what's available. Contacting the owner tells them that this happens once a week. We had many more beautiful options to choose from at a similar price, but we tried this one for the seaview and received something completely different. I'm very disappointed with this property.

Great budget hotel. Very basic but has all you need. Some bungalows right on the ocean. The beach is not that well maintained but neither are the five star beaches. Lots of seaweed and occasional glass.

The rooms are very basic, room clean need to be asked but the stuff is really nice.
Very good for low budget travelers & backpackers

The sound of the waves at your door step , is priceless . Clean beach , comfortable big bed , basic room with wall fan , AC 👍🏼

Yes it is a bit rundown and you might have to sweep the sand off the porch , so what !!

The resort's dogs (especially the one with the blue collar) are unpredictable and quickly become extremely aggressive. They attack people on the beach. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't care. Be careful and don't bring children here; their lives are at risk!

...the sunrise was spectacular. The room had the basics and was clean. The staff were very friendly. Check-in and out were simple. It was only a one-night stay, but I highly recommend waking up early and taking in the sunrise on a beach walk. Everything else you need is within a stone's throw there in Lamai.

I've never met such unfriendly Thais who clearly hate foreigners. What's more, they have two very aggressive German Shepherd-type dogs that seem to be more important to them than a foreigner... The bungalows are very well located, but the photos must be 25 years old... Everything here is fake, starting with the owners' smiles... Go a few meters further along the beach, you'll easily find something better for the same price.
