Reviews
The Highlights:
Outstanding Staff: A huge thank you to Nana at reception, who was incredibly helpful with everything we needed. The entire team is polite, professional, and always ready to assist.
If you visit, make sure to book a massage! Cake, the massage lady, was fantastic and provided one of the best treatments we’ve had.
Stress-Free Logistics: The resort took all the "work" out of travel by perfectly arranging all our taxis, from our initial airport pickup to our departures to the ferry piers.
Perfect Location: The resort is situated in a great spot, making it easy to enjoy the area.
Overall, the combination of a great location and a staff that goes above and beyond made our trip unforgettable.
The photos are misleading. The room looks completely different in person. The bed shown online appears to have a proper headboard and a comfortable setup, but our room had no headboard at all — just a single pillow against a bare concrete wall. When we went to reception to ask about this, we were told that “not all rooms are the same,” regardless of room type, which makes the photos feel very inaccurate.
The bathroom design is poor. The shower isn’t separated, so every time you shower the entire bathroom floods and the toilet gets soaked. From check-in onwards there was also a constant smell of urine coming from the toilet, which made the room unpleasant.
Although the mattress itself was fine, sleep was almost impossible. The walls have no soundproofing — you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. Groups of guests were drinking and partying outside at night and nothing was done to manage the noise.
Mosquitoes were everywhere. I understand this is Thailand and it can’t be fully controlled, but I’ve been travelling around the country for over a month and nowhere else was like this. I was covered in bites and eaten alive during this stay.
Staff were particularly disappointing. As two women, we asked not to stay on the ground floor as we didn’t feel safe. The booking only says “standard double room” and does not specify floor level, yet we were told we had “booked ground floor” and no alternative was offered. When we explained how distressed we were about the condition of the room, reception laughed in my face. Staff then suddenly claimed not to speak English and passed us to a manager on the phone, who showed no sympathy and seemed more interested in arguing than helping.
Housekeeping was also inconsistent. On our second day we left at 8:45am and didn’t return until almost 4pm, expecting the room to have been serviced. It hadn’t been cleaned, with no fresh towels or toilet rolls replaced.
The pool is much smaller than it appears in photos. The only positive is the beachfront location, but even then it’s a 20–25 minute walk into Lamai town for food and drinks.
I cannot emphasise this enough: based on our experience, do not stay here.
Very old and overpriced hotel! It’s very hard to call it hotel! It’s looks like a hostel!
Rooms look old and very simple. Much different than on photos on booking.com
The ceilings are low, about two meters. You feel like you're in a dark cave. The beds have no frames, so it's like sleeping on a piece of jelly. The double bed is actually two single mattresses pushed together. In the bathroom, there were electrical wires sticking out of the wall, which is very unsafe.
They gave us a room with a broken air conditioner. I told them about it and asked for a different room. They sent an air conditioner repairman. He confirmed that the air conditioner was broken and couldn't be fixed. They refused to change our room. We couldn't rest after the trip because the room was extremely hot, and the air conditioner wasn't working. We also couldn't sleep at night because of the heat. By the evening of the next day, a repairman came and replaced the air conditioner. Housekeeping also piled bags of trash next to our room, which began to stink in the heat.
As a result, we spent half our stay without air conditioning and spent the entire day smelling rotting trash under our windows.
Avoid this place! Save your money and nervous!
The rooms are very clean, the hotel has lovely food and a great drink selection and the staff are lovely. It’s located on Lamai Beach which offers chilled vibes but also has other hotels, restaurants and bars on.
It’s less than a 10 minute drive from Lamai night market and a 5 minute walk to 7 eleven for all your essentials.
We would defiantly recommend staying here!
First we don't know why but we loved it, they upgrade us for the apartment with the Sea view, for me was the best bedroom they had.
Staff was very kind, the girl in the restaurant new my coffee order since day 1 and it is special for me.
Food was delicious.
They had many sunbeds at the beach and close to the pool.
Room was very clean everyday.
They also have Massages, pedicure..manicure ..
I had my pedicure done and I was very happy with experience.
Location is very close to Lamai Night Market what we loved because was a small and not too busy night market.
But is far from chaweng beach/fisherman's village.
But I would definely stay in 4u resort again.
