Lamai Bayview Boutique Resort in Lamai Beach

Quiet and relaxing hotel with several bungalows. We stayed in a sea-view bungalow, and it couldn’t have been better — sitting on the terrace at sunset was simply perfect. The lovely little beach always has available sunbeds, and the pool is ideal for a quick swim with an amazing view. The lush green surroundings with banana and papaya trees are one of my favorite things about this place.

We spotted this hotel from the sea; it's like a pearl nestled in the tropics. The cozy bungalows are surrounded by lush tropical greenery, with birds singing everywhere. The views from the bungalow terraces and the reception area are incredible. The food is good too. The bungalow we stayed in for one night was very small, but it had everything we needed: air conditioning, a fridge, a shower, and a terrace. The sea access was lovely, with no waves. And the pool – it's small but very beautiful!

Quiet hotel on the sidelines. Trudode descent to the cottages with a sea view but the views are quite ok, the food is very average, the choice is poor for the price

I’m staying for three days, and I’m a bit torn about it.

Let’s start with the cons:
1. The room is small and a bit dated, and it could really use a makeover inside.
2. The shower drain in the bathroom is clogged, so if you shower and water splashes into the toilet, it won’t drain because it’s stuck there.
3. The walkway can be a bit bumpy if you’re staying near the beach, so it might not be the best option for seniors or people with mobility issues.
4. It’s a bit of a trek from the city center, so you’ll need to rent a car.

Now, the pros:
1. The service is amazing, and the staff are super friendly!
2. They have their own bar and restaurant at a reasonable price. Plus, they offer motorcycle rentals, kayaking, snorkeling gear, and laundry services.
3. It’s absolutely beautiful! The views are incredible! This is their own private beach, and almost every corner is perfect for Instagram.

Beautiful view from the bungalow. The small public beach nearby had very few people, which made it peaceful. The area is quiet, located at the beginning of Lamai. If you’re planning to go to the center of Lamai, you’ll need a motorbike — the hotel conveniently rents scooters.

The room was clean. The shower and bathroom could be improved. The hotel restaurant is nice, but the receptionist and waitress seemed a bit confused and spoke very little English. The staff overall appeared unhappy, and during our 5-day stay, we didn’t see anyone smiling.

I stayed here recently and absolutely loved the beachfront view from my room, it felt like I had my own private beach! The view was truly to die for 😍

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I had requested a simple birthday decoration, and not only did they prepare that, they also surprised me with a super cute cake (which I didn’t even ask for!). That was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture 🥹🎂

Also, for the view, service, and experience you get, it’s seriously great value for money. Thank you so much for making my stay in Samui so memorable 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

p/s: I stayed in Room 108, highly recommend requesting this room if you want the besttttt view! Just be prepared for a bit of stairs (if you don’t mind) but totally worth it!

Exactly like the photos! The only drawback was that the tide went out quite far during the day in June, so we ended up going to a different beach.

I lived in a very basic house but it was nice and clean. Bed and pillows were comfy, air con was good and silent. Due to tiny size of room there is a problem with outlets. Great seaview from most bungalows. There is a strong lowtide in the summer, so the water goes away pretty far. You will not be able to use hotels beach, but very beautiful coral beach is about 15 min walking distance.
