Praya Palazzo in Bangkok

Located on the tranquil banks of the Chao Phraya River, a short walk across the river are popular tourist destinations such as Khao San Road and the National Museum of Bangkok. The hotel features only 15 meticulously designed rooms, each with a Siamese-era ambiance, offering a variety of room types including garden and river views. While the rooms are quite small due to the renovation of an old building, the hotel boasts a unique character. Facilities include an outdoor heated swimming pool, a riverside garden, and a library. Interestingly, guests can only access the hotel by private boat. Breakfast offers several exquisite and delicious set menus, and the service is excellent! Excellent service! Excellent service!

This Hotel is an absolute wonder! Me and my husband had such a beautiful time here and we loved every single moment! We not only stayed but also tried the food at their restaurant and it was an amazing experience ✨

Historic hotel takes you back in time. Beautiful landscaping and lovely common rooms to hang out in. Wonderful location on the river. Fun to watch the river traffic and explore the old neighborhoods behind the hotel with their narrow alleys and canals (pre-automobile). The pool is nice and they even had some weights if you want to keep exercising while you're on vacation. The staff were delightful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, well worth it. We thought our dinner was very nice also though perhaps a tad on the expensive side.

From start to finish our stay at Praya Palazzo was fantastic! The staff could not do any more to make us feel welcome . The location was great and the fact that the river boat was the only way to the property made our stay even more memorable . We did not have an evening meal in the restaurant but there was a great choice for breakfast. Perfect poached eggs!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars. We loved the location, ease (and experience) of taking the boat to get to it, the restaurant, pool, and staff. However, we stayed there for 5 night and never had hot water. While I did bring this to the attention of management, nothing was ever done and we were not moved to another room that DID have hot water. Showers were cold! However, we still partially enjoyed our stay and other things about the hotel. The breakfasts were excellent and we really loved the special dinner that reflected this history of Thailand!

Our experience here was absolutely wonderful.
It felt like a peaceful paradise, far removed from the chaos of everyday life.
The exclusive boat service made everything so convenient, and the elegant surroundings created the perfect atmosphere to relax.
Breakfast was delicious every single morning!
From the front desk to the boat crew and room service, every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
While the facilities are a bit older, they carry a charming historical character-perfect for those who appreciate classic architecture.
My family and I had such a beautiful stay.

I travel with my kid, 2.7 y/o. He really enjoy traveling by boat on the river. The facilities of the hotel is really good. All of things is kept well from old colonial-Thai style building.
If you enjoy history and old building, or those who want to experience living in this kind of vibe for nights, you will really fall in love with this place. You can enjoy night life and Thai ancient style in one time since this place is located near Khaosarn road than you think !! You can call boat 24hrs. to pick you up at Phra Arthit Pier, which is 10 mins walk from Khaosarn road, and travel back to hotel.

Our recent stay at Praya Palazzo was simply breathtaking. From the private boat ride across pier N13 to the hotel, to the reception, to our room, and then the michelin star restaurant.

Our meals were amazing, especially dinner, which averaged 1,500 baht/person. The roast lamb was our favorite but every single dish we chose was something we would be happy to order again. Also note: It was certainly worth bundling breakfast with the price of the room. The staff were always attentive and food was served quite quickly.

Ben helped us to upgrade from a deluxe room to the one and only Chao Phraya Suite which provided an amazing view of the river in addition to ample space inside this historic hotel building. We enjoyed the bathtub, large sitting room and bedroom surrounded by elaborate vintage wallpapers and lighting fixures, and antique furniture and decor.

The outdoor pool was more for standing/relaxing than swimming due to its size and depth so we spent our extra time in the library or walking around the grounds when we weren’t in our room.

Whether you plan an extended stay or just to come for the amazing culinary experience, don’t hesitate, it’s very much worth your time and money.
