Overall experience was great. Love that there’s a convenience store alright at the hotel. Cafe breakfast was better than buffet breakfast. Facilities was very great, huge gym and a large swimming pool that gives the perfect sunset view. It was lovely that the receptionist gave me a free upgrade and allow early check in.

The room was spacious and had a great view. For safety, the small balcony was locked, but you could sign a waiver to open it. There are two buildings, A and B, with the pool and gym located in building A, which is convenient. I'd definitely come back again.

The front desk upgraded us to a spacious suite, which was very clean. Plus, there's a Lawson convenience store downstairs and a 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel is located on a small street, so public transportation isn't very convenient; it's a bit of a walk to the subway, and getting a taxi can take 15 minutes or more.
As other reviews mentioned, there was a musty smell in the room that didn't go away even with the windows open all day. But the biggest issue for us was that the air conditioning blew directly onto the head of the bed, making it impossible to sleep. If that's something that bothers you, I strongly advise you to consider other options!

everything was very good. only downside was breakfast. you have 2 options. you can have breakfast in the little cafe. good selection of a la cart breakfast. but the other option is a disaster. very bad selection and nearly all constantly empty.
but overall stay was very good. 9 out of 10

The location is very central, and 7-Eleven provides a shuttle service. We also used the swimming pool and sauna, and everything was clean and tidy. The room was comfortable, and we were very satisfied. The only minor drawback was that the complimentary bottled water in the room tasted salty, so I recommend buying water from the nearby 7-Eleven or Lawson instead.

Booking was a breeze, and check-in was very efficient, though a deposit was required. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with all necessary amenities. The gym was particularly impressive – very large with a wide array of professional equipment, including a ping-pong table (sadly, my girlfriend beat me several times!). The breakfast, in partnership with The Breakfast Club, was excellent. The hotel's views were also a highlight.
However, there were a few downsides. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the hallway on our floor was boarded up. One elevator was out of service due to the construction. The location itself isn't ideal, and the soundproofing could be better; even on the top floor, we could clearly hear constant traffic noise throughout the day.
Overall, it was a good stay with great value for money. I'd recommend this hotel if you plan to primarily use taxis for transportation, as the surrounding area isn't very walkable – there's a lack of clear sidewalks and the road outside is quite busy.

If you want to live like a local in Bangkok, this is one of the best options. The rooms are large, well-maintained, and genuinely feel like a home away from home. The lobby gives you the feel of a proper hotel, while the rooms function like serviced apartments – a great mix of comfort and practicality. My room had a beautiful view of the lake, which made mornings even better. There’s also a 7-Eleven right downstairs, so getting supplies is super convenient. Highly recommend for longer stays.

We had a very pleasant stay at Shama. Staff is always very freindly and helpful. The studio with kitchen, laundry and balcony was excellent! Also a very big and topclass gym and swimming pool. Looking forward to come again.

stay here for 3 nights, room is spacious as everthing are good and in order, location very near to BTS and Terminal 21 Mall and also hotel nearby have 24 hours supermarket which is fantastic, will come back again

The view was great and we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park.
There were some problems with the indoor environment.
A particular problem was that the door between the toilet and bathroom and the bedroom had a very high opening rate, resulting in severe sound leakage.

Pond the owner has set up a really great place for travelers to rest and enjoy the hospitality that Home 16 had to offer. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and great food and beer!

What an amazing Hostel! Centrally located next to sky train and a beautiful park. The owner Pond and her very friendly Dog Sunny were very accommodating. Ponds mango daquaris are great on a hot Bangkok day. Thank you Pond! Can't wait to see you again soon.

I was overall satisfied with my stay at hostel 16. It was clean, quiet and was in a great location, not so far from the metro system (Sukhumvit) which can take you to either downtown and is an easy trip to make to and from the airport.
It is run by an exceptional host, Pond, who made me feel very welcome during my stay there! She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable.
If you are looking for an inexpensive yet great quality accommodation, I would definitely recommend this place!
I cannot fault it one bit and I will definitely return there when I go back to Bangkok in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I stayed here twice while I was in Bangkok and I will come back every time I visit! Pond and her staff were amazing - kind, helpful, welcoming and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend!
