Our room had a poor view, facing another building and being on a lower floor, which wasn't ideal. The housekeeping was also slow to replenish items; we didn't get new slippers or toiletries for the last two days. On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located directly across from ICONSIAM and offers a handy boat shuttle service. It's an older five-star hotel, and the service was excellent and very welcoming.

I first stayed one night at the Sheraton, then another night at the Millennium Hilton, and the Sheraton definitely wins. Although the Sheraton is across from ICONSIAM, the half-hour shuttle boat ride effectively means you can go and come back whenever you want. The Hilton is only walkable, and while it's not that far, the experience isn't as convenient as the Sheraton, especially with kids. The Hilton faces a main road and is very noisy, whereas the Sheraton's entrance is on a smaller street with cozy street food stalls and two 7-Elevens, next to the River City complex. The twin beds are a generous 1.35 meters wide. There are plenty of tuk-tuks and motorbikes outside the hotel; make sure to bargain. It's incredibly convenient, with two public piers on either side of the hotel. The Hilton rooms are newer, but there's a constant mechanical hum from outside, making the whole room rumble, while the Sheraton is very quiet. The breakfast was also exceptionally good. Service at both was friendly and enthusiastic. In short, these two hotels are directly opposite each other, and their prices are similar, so I was torn between them. Hope this helps others decide!

The front desk service was excellent; they even sent a cake when they found out it was my child's birthday. The hotel's location is also great, right across from IconSiam, which is very convenient.

The service, cleanliness, breakfast, and swimming pool were all great. The location is also excellent, right on the Chao Phraya River, next to River City. There are cruise terminals for boats like the 'Chao Phraya Princess,' making it very convenient for a night cruise on the river. It's also close to the Grand Palace and Chinatown. Across the Chao Phraya River is Iconsiam, and the hotel even has its own pier and ferry that runs every half hour, which is super convenient. However, for parking, you need to get your parking ticket stamped at the bell desk before leaving, and there are no elevators to the garage, only stairs up to the lobby. This makes it inconvenient if you have luggage.

The hotel offers a direct boat shuttle to the shopping mall on the opposite bank, which is very convenient and runs every half hour. Breakfast was mostly Western-style, with fewer hot dishes. Overall, it was pretty good, and for just over a thousand, the value for money is high.

This is an old five-star hotel, and the service and cleanliness are impeccable. However, the facilities are quite outdated; the TV is tiny and can't even play YouTube. It's really time for an upgrade!

This was my 9th time in Bangkok, but my first staying at a hotel by the Chao Phraya River. Compared to other five-star hotels I've stayed at previously, the Sheraton really left a different impression on me! The Thai service, as always, was impeccable. Opening my room door, I was immediately greeted by stunning views of the Chao Phraya River and Icon Siam through the large windows – absolutely breathtaking! Secondly, the hotel offers convenient transportation; there's a boat every half hour that takes you across to Icon Siam and the BTS station. The return trip is the same. The boat ride can be a bit chaotic during peak hours, with many people. They don't check room cards, so it's essentially free, and many who want to get to the BTS station use it. If you opt for a taxi to Siam or Chinatown, it's about 30 RMB. Lastly, although the hotel is older, the room facilities are still good, and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast selection is also decent! Definitely a place worth staying at!

This is a top notch hotel. Fast elevators, gorgeous views, 2 pools and 5 restaurants. It is a bit more expensive but it is well worth it. The beds are comfortable and the showers are great. Close to 7-11 and massage places. Highly recommend. The view of the river is great. Water taxi to the other aide of the river to Iconsiam Mall

Lovely river view with good transportation options (shuttle boats to a magnificent mall across the river and to the train station). The hotel has seen her good days back in the old days and renovation is overdue. Nevertheless I still like her for her location and old-day vibe. Service quality varies. I would rate the service in Sheraton Club in Singapore higher than here (surprise surprise). Lobby bar here gets a higher score though. Thanks to the staff, particularly Khun Penguin (? sorry if i spell your name incorrectly) for the pleasant and efficient service. By the way … generous happy hour for almost the whole afternoon!
