I had a very bad experience with the male receptionist. I felt he treated people differently because of race.

At check in, I was waiting with two white guests. When he saw me, he was cold and had no smile. He just told me to check in. But when he saw the two white guests, he suddenly smiled a lot and said, “sorry for making you wait.” When he explained the rules, he looked at them the whole time and smiled. When he talked to me, his face was blank and cold.

A few days later, I asked if I could change to another bed. He could have just said “no” politely and explained why. Instead, he gave a disrespectful laugh and then told me a lie to push me away. That was not professional.

So I told him his attitude was not respectful, and I also told him what happened at check in. He only said, “thank you for letting me know,” and later very late added “sorry.” But his behavior did not change at all. A few days after that, when I smiled and said hello, he still ignored me and acted cold and proud.

It makes me even more sad because he is Asian too, but he acted like this toward Asian guests.

Also, if you are sensitive to laundry detergent, be careful. The detergent they use gave me an allergic reaction, and I had to stop using their towels and blankets.

If you are Asian and want a nice trip, please think carefully before staying here. He was the most unfriendly Thai person I met in Thailand, and I feel very disappointed.
