What a beautiful hotel! I loved waking up to stunning views right from my bed, and the private pool in our room was a huge hit with the kids! A massive thank you to the staff as well – I accidentally left my passport and over 2,000 USD behind when checking out. They found it, kept it safe at the front desk, and then even went out of their way to deliver it to me when I returned to Chiang Mai two days later! Truly grateful for their incredible honesty and service!

The hotel is large, and the room is spacious with a nice view. However, the room feels quite dated. The location is also rather far from most tourist attractions, so it’s only worth considering if you plan to spend most of your time within the hotel itself.
The bathroom design offers limited privacy due to open windows, and the breakfast selection is just average. Mornings can also be noisy because of the many birds on the ceiling. The minibar drinks and snacks seemed like they had been there for ages. Overall, it wasn’t an especially impressive stay.

We spent three magical nights at Thantara Resort Chiang Mai and couldn’t have dreamed of a better stay to unwind and enjoy nature.
From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the staff made us feel at home. Our Pool Villa with private pool was simply stunning — spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush greenery.
The entire resort feels like an oasis of tranquility, with our very own private pool to relax, the bikes are perfect for exploring the location and all the experiences the resort can offer (spa, cooking class and more). It’s perfect to disconnect from the city’s buzz while still being just a short drive from the heart of Chiang Mai.
We could enjoy 2 different types of breakfast, the mini buffet at the restaurant or the floating breakfast served in the room or should I say served in the pool ! Both fresh, made with their home grown fruits and vegetables and local products and a great variety of options. The service was impeccable throughout our stay — always kind and attentive.
If you’re looking for a luxurious yet peaceful escape in Chiang Mai, we can only recommend Thantara Resort. 💛✨

Declined to refund even $0.1 despite recent earthquake in Thai & vietnam without proper reasons, just keep saying that ChiangMai is safe, bad experience and not considerate at all

The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with a small swimming pool. The natural ecology in the park is well maintained, with the sounds of insects and birds everywhere, making it especially suitable for parent-child accommodation and travel. There are not many choices for breakfast, which does not meet expectations
