There are several swimming pools, restaurants, and direct access to a wide sandy beach, which is a big plus. Rooms are generally comfortable, though some areas feel a bit dated and could use renovation
Overall, a good option for a relaxing beach holiday, especially for families or travelers who appreciate space, pools, and proximity to the ocean
The hotel is practically empty; they say it didn't survive the pandemic. But it still exists! It's a huge hotel complex with very few people around. The breakfasts are decent, though a bit modest
The beach is beautiful and secluded, which is great for those who dislike crowds. There are some areas that show a bit of wear and tear, but personally, that didn't dampen my spirits
A large beachfront hotel complex with a great location right by the sea. The territory is spacious, green, and well maintained, perfect for walks and relaxation
Breakfast offers a good variety, especially considering the size of the hotel
The water park has 4 slides, and there are also several swimming pools. The resort itself is quite large, and dining options nearby are very convenient
Breakfast was decent; I think some reviews complained about the food because they weren't used to Western-style breakfasts and might have been hoping for wontons or noodles
There was Thai rice vermicelli among the hot food, which was good enough. The hotel is massive, with at least five or six pools. I only used the one in front of my room, which was great and very convenient
They called a driver to take me to the correct building, and *then* I finally got my welcome iced water and checked in. Meanwhile, all my other hotel check-ins have been perfectly smooth
However, several friends and family members who stayed here a few years ago all had positive things to say, so I ultimately chose this hotel. My actual experience was better and more consistent than expected
There was a faint pleasant scent upon entering, which shows the hotel puts extra effort into air quality management. Phuket's climate is inherently humid, so a slight feeling of dampness is normal
This is a fantastic hotel! The staff, facilities, and service were all excellent. The food, pool, and kids' play areas all deserve 5 stars. Now for a few negatives:
Our check-in was quite unpleasant
Both the pool and garden views were lovely. It's within walking distance to the beach, making it very convenient for getting around
The two complimentary bottles of water provided by the hotel weren't great; you could tell they had a high calcium content
A genuinely great stay, no regrets, offering excellent value and a fantastic experience. The check-in experience was wonderful; the room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet and pleasant
The hotel is very big itself, has amazing spa and gym, several pools
We had changed the guest name mid-booking and notified the hotel via Ctrip, but there was a communication breakdown between the hotel and Ctrip, leading to us not being able to check in
Price was friendly for the guest. Suitable for children coz full of amusement and water park. Room quite old
Big property with direct beach access and plenty of space to relax.Rooms are simple but the pool and water park make it fun for families.Feels more about the experience and location than pure luxury.
restaurant was not clean breakfeast very limited staff has not much english no pool bar or normal bar , each time we call taxi it goes to other building nothing great but good sleep
Excellent service and cleanliness throughout resort as well as decent prices
- All towels looks like they have been abandoned from WWII, ripped to shreds, and quickly mended. Also, you are obliged to return them before 19:00 on the same day. For the unsophisticated travellers
The reception staff needs retraining. The room is acceptable. The location is near the sea and market, making it convenient for travel. The housekeeper is lovely.

The beachfront restaurant was particularly delicious, every dish was excellent. We arranged a car back to Bangkok through the front desk. There are three kids' clubs:
1. A members-only area offering simple meals
The Lost World (or something similar, I don't remember the exact name) has large outdoor climbing nets and slides, but it was too sunny to play much. There's an indoor area showing cartoons and simple wooden houses
While the building isn't as new as some high-end Bangkok hotels, after insisting with the front desk not to be on a lower floor due to a late check-in, we got a room on a floor with a good view
The air conditioning was indeed noisy, as mentioned in other reviews, but it didn't disturb our sleep. The staff were reasonably enthusiastic
It's a small space, and there are scheduled craft activities with a teacher daily
Cake and cookie making activities are also held in this area. Our main focus was on playing in the water and enjoying the sea. The restaurants outside the hotel were also very good, and shopping was convenient

I was a bit worried the room might be basic, as it was only 30-something square meters, but it even had a bathtub and a stunning sea view! The kids' play area and water zone were also brilliant
The hotel is very close to Pattaya Beach, and Terminal 21 is nearby. Chinatown is right behind the hotel, where you can find Chinese food
It's far from the bar area, so it's very quiet at night, which is great for sleeping
When choosing a hotel, InterContinental is always my pick. The breakfast is excellent and the location is superb.
The room was a good size, well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with 6 bottles of drinking water. It offered an open view of Pattaya Beach
The front desk, room service, and restaurant service were all excellent. The hotel's location is fantastic; turn left from the lobby, walk about 100 meters, cross the road, and you're at the beach
It was pretty good, my kids loved playing in the water. The water facilities were excellent. The location was also quite good. During the Spring Festival, they even decorated with Chinese elements
The shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable. The bed and pillows were just right, not too soft or too hard
My family loved it, and the kids especially enjoyed the pool
There are many takeout options nearby, and a robot even delivers food to your room, which feels very safe. Overall, it was a perfect stay and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it to friends
The hotel is easy to find and has its own convenient parking lot. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff were warm and polite. The room was spotless, and all the facilities were new
We booked a family room, which had two bedrooms and a living room, perfect for our group of six. It was very convenient, not far from Rawai Beach, and a great base for visiting Coral Island
The room looked good after the upgrade, but the only downside was that rooms facing the street were too noisy; the bar across the road sang all night, making it impossible to sleep
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Karon Beach, just a few minutes' walk away. There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, and bars nearby
The front desk service was excellent; they proactively offered me a room with a better view. Both check-in and check-out were super fast
It was a great experience! There are plenty of dining options nearby, the beach isn't far, and it's close to the Cliff Restaurant too
The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the play facilities were new and suitable for children of all ages!
I've stayed at Katabamgo before, and while it definitely offers better value for money, I still prefer Orchid because it's much closer to Karon Beach, and Karon Beach itself is more beautiful
The soundproofing is excellent; even though there's a kids' pool and water slide right outside, there's no noise, it's very quiet. The breakfast selection is incredibly rich
The only minor issue was that the shower drain was a bit slow. I can understand why though; being so close to the beach, I brought back quite a bit of sand after swimming, so it makes sense why it might get clogged
The family room on the seventh floor was generally good. It wasn't damp, had a nice view, and the overall cleanliness was decent, though a few small bugs are to be expected in a tropical region
This family room was one of the few we could find at this price point. The water slide was great, but you need to wear beach socks to protect your feet
Had a family holiday here for a week. The staff were amazing and spacious rooms. The swimming pool and slides were awesome to keep the kids entertained. The only negative was the buffet breakfast which was average
The resort environment is pretty good. I was a bit worried at first because I saw a lot of negative reviews, but after checking in, the air conditioning wasn't cooling well on the first night
Though I upgraded to ocean pearl and they show the open deep bathtub with rose petals in it. But the hotel didn't have any bath salts or bubble bath or anything
The only minor thing is that parking near the entrance is quite limited, so you may need to park a little farther away, but the hotel provides a convenient golf cart service to take guests to the lobby, so it’s not really a problem
Hotel is luxurious, stunning views, typical nice hotel rooms, more adult leaning than the beach club though you have access to their facilities too
We spent a lot of time at the pool at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, which was perfect for lounging and soaking up the atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful stay from start to finish. We’d happily return and highly recommend it
Private beach, and for me the massive - truly massive pools and manicured gardens and cabanas were the highlight. And twice the size of Olympic pools
We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and overlooked the ocean—waking up to that view every day was a highlight of the trip
They treated me well and recommended the facilities that could meet my needs. Did enjoy the rooftop pool (good for both exercise and recreation ) and good choices of breakfast
Big room. Pool is green - engineer couldn't seem to locate problem.
This hotel is big .hostel in this hotel is great .Everything is best.iwill come again.
Nice swimming pool with small fitness. I understand because its a Bollywood hôtel. Charging fees because you stay more than 10am for check-out
Glad to have a stay for my pre-Christmas weekend 😊
The hotel is perfectly located, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. It boasts a pool with a slide, which the kids absolutely adored
The hotel's environment is fantastic. The lobby manager speaks Chinese, which made communication very easy. The hotel has its own infinity pool and a children's water park, plus an indoor kids' play area
The room itself was spotless, well-designed, and thoughtfully arranged, with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop pool
It’s easily one of the nicest I’ve seen in Pattaya—an infinity pool with stunning views, and it gets sunlight throughout the day, which makes it perfect for relaxing
For families, there’s also a second pool featuring a large pirate ship, which is a fantastic touch for kids. The location is another major plus
Central Mall is just across the street, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. If you’re looking for nightlife or entertainment, there are plenty of bars and venues just around the corner
Overall, Somerset Pattaya has become one of my favorite hotels in the city. It combines excellent service, great facilities, and a prime location. I’ll definitely be coming back again
However, the next morning, the staff cleaned them thoroughly, so it wasn't an issue. What surprised me most was the excellent location and the fact that you could use the pool for this price!
cleaning and room maintenance staff lady somehow was very badly behaving inspite of giving her tips. Flamingo staff is extremely good. all daily need facilities are nearby. to sum up it is satisfying experience
She greeted me with a warm smile and helped me with the check-in process, making sure I had everything I needed. Her friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills really set the tone for my stay
The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and I immediately felt at ease. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, with thoughtful details that made the stay extra enjoyable
Housekeeping did an excellent job, and the overall cleanliness of the property was impressive. What stood out the most was the staff’s professionalism and kindness
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely polite, always ready to help with a smile
If we had requests/issues and called staff came within minutes. Sometimes their English is not perfect, so misunderstandings may occur, but remember YOU are the guest in their country…
The breakfast buffet was AMAZING
This hotel is practically connected to Terminal 21, the famous shopping mall in Pattaya. You can walk out of the hotel and be at the mall's Gate 1 in about 30 seconds, which is incredibly convenient
Building F has a pool and a water park, which kept the kids so entertained they didn't even want to go to lunch
The kids absolutely loved this hotel! They had a blast at the water park, and there were plenty of activities they enjoyed at the kid's club. Plus, the starry ceiling in the room was a big hit
The breakfast was excellent, and the pool facilities were great, especially for children. Highly recommended; I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time.
All the hotel's recreational facilities are on the F floor, including a pool table, gym, and even a block room perfect for toddlers

The room with pool view is big, and the balcony is large with a sofa for sitting. I can't recommend staying here enough
The room was a bit small, but the hotel environment was great. The pool was huge and not too crowded.
The only downside is that when you walk over the bridge to your room, you have to walk over the sewage stream. This is obviously out of the control of the resort, and does it's best to mask the sight and smell
The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, which makes it feel calm and relaxing despite its central location near Walking Street and the beach
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable beds and nice balconies. The swimming pools are large and perfect for both adults and children, and the garden area is beautifully designed
Breakfast offers a good variety of Asian and international dishes. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help
Stunning rooms, a really cool pool that runs throughout the hotel, and the best breakfast we’ve ever had traveling. This place also has the nicest gym I’ve ever seen in a hotel
Love this hotel! I really love the environment — very natural and calm. The room looks a bit old, but it’s big and I like that it has a bathtub and direct pool access
None of the TV channels are in English but you’re on vacation so you should be watching tv anyways, and almost all the staff speak perfect English (a few exceptions that are still learning English)
It’s not right against Kata beach but it’s an easy walk and they offer a shuttle every day
The staff named Wee (not sure if I got the name right) was very kind and took good care of my baby. She was lovely and my baby enjoyed it so much
We will come back again!
The only small issue was there was some sand in front of the door and on the table. Even after cleaning, it still appeared, and I’m not sure where it came from
It is marvellous that buggy service provided on request between lobby to main street. I can walk 10 minutes from main street to beach for surfing. Hotel have gentle and helpful staff. Hotel have lovely swimming pool
If you cross the road, there's a fruit stand on the right and then the beach. Frankly, putting aside the kids' slide and pool, this room is worth at most 200
The room is spacious and very clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Kids love the water park, so much fun! Breakfast provided with variety of choices. Overall the resort is good and satisfy
Plus, there's a water park! It's also very close to Karon Beach and there are plenty of dining options nearby
The Thai milk tea at breakfast is good though. There are some morning activities that kids will love. However, I was genuinely shocked that they charge a tip for folding elephant towels
I had the most valuable time over at Phuket Emerald. The staffs are great - from the front desk, to the breakfast table and concierge, Eak - he’s very helpful!
The breakfast variety is good
Staffs are friendly and helpful. The pool is very great for kids, though a little cold at times but it’s ok because the weather is hot. And it’s about 5-7 mins walk to the beach, cross a small road that’s all
Nakhon Si Thammarat City, 6 Pattanakarn Kukwang Road 🧭 Map
It is very clean and comfortable and staff are awesome
In my room there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the water sat on the floor opposite the drain
Prime location with reasonable price, located just opposite convenience store, and close by with many restaurants, I’ve experienced with the restaurant the service was fantastic, but some of the prices it’s quite high
Sometimes I wish staff or management stayed in the rooms to see what the customer can see and experience. Everything works as it should and yes I would stay again. Worst thing for me was the shower in the bath
The overall experience is good. However the wifi is very unstable.
gym and swimming pool are big, very comfortable
Wifi here is so unstable, I can't even play a simple YouTube video. The water pressure is also very weak, I have to flush the toilet multiple times. There is only one power outlet in the room to plug a device

Stayed in December of 2025 and location was absolutely great. Staff were very friendly and pool area was very nice as well. You can access both 2nd street or the beach road from the property
The swimming pool was a major hit with the kids, offering endless hours of fun and relaxation due to many pools options to swim and play
Located in a prime area, the hotel boasts a large garden. Although the decor is from many years ago, the attention to detail and quality are excellent, giving it an artistic flair
The hotel was great, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. They also had play facilities for kids and a wading pool.
The location is great, really close to the beach, and the value for money is pretty good. There's a big shopping mall just 100 meters away. The pool area is also lovely and relaxing
We traveled from Bangkok in search of a peaceful retreat but still looking to experience the life of the city. This hotel perfectly met our needs, providing a tranquil environment with plenty of room for everyone
The breakfast was delicious and varied daily, and the location was convenient. The towel service by the pool was excellent, and the front desk staff spoke Chinese, which made traveling with parents and children very easy
The rooms, dining, and pool were all great, and the pool's back exit leads directly to the beach. They even had movie nights, and I participated in a cardio session on the lawn with other guests
The hotel's pool is very clean, and they provide unlimited beach towels. There are rinse-off facilities at the back entrance to the beach
Some of the highly-rated restaurants on Dazhong Dianping might have gotten their ratings through soliciting reviews. The pizza in the annex building was excellent, and the kids' pizza-making class was a lot of fun
Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. Good location, close to the beach and a lot of restaurant & eateries within walking distance.
It's also convenient for massages and dining nearby, which is probably why there were quite a few Chinese guests
