Grand Heykel Hotel in Bursa

The hotel's location is really great. We walked everywhere. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Even though we had reserved two rooms with single beds, they gave us one room with a double bed and another with an extra bed. The extra bed was so bad that after one night, my son started staying at a friend’s place in Bursa. Since the bathrooms had no windows or ventilation, they were damp, and the walls and ceilings were moldy.

The room doors were so poorly made and difficult to close that throughout the night, I kept waking up because I could hear every guest struggling to shut their doors properly.

Breakfast was served on a terrace with a beautiful view, but the food offered was far from fresh. Everything seemed to be covered in yogurt-based sauces to mask the staleness. The kitchen and service staff kept loudly commenting on how long the guests were staying at their tables, which made it impossible to enjoy the atmosphere on the terrace. It felt like they were trying to push everyone out within 30 minutes—basically telling guests to eat and leave.

It was horrible. There's no insulation on the windows and doors, and you can hear banging all night long from the rooms and the elevator. If I can't even sleep in a hotel, what's the point?
