Reviews
The location is perfect, you can visit all the significant sightseeings on foot. Near Cemberlitas tram station.
The room was clean and the bathroom was recently renovated. We also had a balcony with a really nice view of a mosque and a seaview. The staff was very friendly and polite.
I definitely recommend this hotel for having a good value for money. It was a really good choice for economical accomodation in the center of Istanbul! Thank you!
Let's start with the only positive: the Milklagord Istanbul suits its price point and I mean that in the most ironic way possible. If you are looking for a true "adventure" in budget accommodation, where every morning feels like a triumph just for making it to checkout, this is your spot.
The Horror:
• The Room: "Outdated" would be a generous compliment. The room was a monument to questionable design and deferred maintenance. Think mismatched furniture, suspicious stains, and a persistent, damp odor that seemed to challenge the existence of fresh air. The concept of "comfort" was entirely optional, and the soundproofing was non-existent, meaning you'll get a real-time audio tour of the surrounding city and every floor above you.
• The Facilities (or Lack Thereof): Everything felt flimsy, temporary, or actively broken. I wouldn't trust the elevator in a foot race, and the lobby gave off heavy "escape room" vibes.
• The Location: While technically in Istanbul, its relationship with convenience is strained. You might be near things, but getting to them feels like an unnecessarily complex journey.
The Price Point Perspective (Haha):
Here’s the thing: when you pay bottom-dollar, you temper your expectations. I did, and yet the Milklagord still managed to surprise me with its level of commitment to being absolutely horrible. If your budget is this restrictive, you can at least laugh about the experience afterward. It's a cheap roof, and it technically kept the rain out, which is the bare minimum required for a shelter.
Conclusion:
If you require a place to sleep that is not a park bench, and you view minor discomforts as character-building exercises, the Milklagord Istanbul is available. For everyone else, I strongly recommend finding another, marginally more expensive hotel. But hey, it was cheap! And for that, I give it one pity star.
The very good thing about hotel that the staff was really nice i never had any complaint from them... The boy at the night time helped me with my luggage when i came to hotel, i checked in around 5am when he was so sleepy but he still did everything without making any faces. While checking out he did that again knowingly that i had back surgery he brought my luggage outside to the texi.
They do the room service everyday and bring new towel but the thing i didn't like at the first place was cleanliness, from day one i found so many big hair (probably women) on my bedsheet. Floor looks like never been mopped or sweep. You can't walk naked foot on the floor.
Washroom shampo got finished when i was there
If you're looking for place acceptable to sleep only, at a reasonable price and near attractions, this is a good choice
Additional note:
Room area is small.
Cleanliness is not very high. We did not use the towels, we used our own 😊
If you're seeking a slightly more luxurious accommodation, this isn't the place. In terms of budget, friendly; but remember you'll get what you pay for, so don't expect too much.
Very bad, worst experience. The hotel is right beside garbage and trash so it smelled very bad, and the receptionist was smoking outside when we arrived which is very unprofessional. They wanted us to sleep in the basement where there were insects and bugs. The description does not match with what you get, sleeping in the basement was not in the description. Not even animals want to sleep in that hotel or its rooms. I don't advice anyone to come with children, the insects will make your skin itchy. Stay away from the hotel! If I would've gotten a room for free in that hotel. I would not accept the offer. All the pictures on the website is not correct and the perosnal is unfreindly never
