Gulec Hotel in Istanbul

I booked a hotel for my parents, they liked everything very much, the location, the hotel itself, the cleaning, and they also noticed the administrator's boyfriend, who helped them in every possible way.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Istanbul, and the Gulec Hotel was a great choice for us to stay. The Hotel is about 1 hour away from the Istanbul International airport where the Hotel made the arrangements for us to be picked up and return to the airport as well. The Hotel's locations was perfect to see most of the sites that are amazing due to the every thing was quite close to the Gulec Hotel such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hagia Sophia experience center, the Grand Bazzar, The Istanbul Historical Museum or book tours right from the hotel, Hop on Hop Off Bus to get to all the other places without getting a private Taxi which is not advisable in Istanbul. The front desk manager was very accommodating and helpful as well as the other staff of the Hotel. Breakfast was nice, with traditional Turkey cuisine breakfast items, in addition to scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs, toast, and cakes and cookies. The breakfast area had a coffee machine that makes all the coffees from regular, Americano and Cappuccino. The staff offers traditional Turkish Tea and coffee as well. Plenty of restaurants and interesting retail location on the same block of the Hotel.

The hotel is very well located, the room has everything you need: a kettle, cups, a refrigerator, slippers, hand soap, shampoo and shower gel.

We stayed for two nights just passing through. The hotel location is very convenient, a five- to seven-minute walk to Hagia Sophia and other attractions. Covered parking is nearby, but we had to negotiate the price. The hotel staff were helpful. The room was clean, and they upgraded the double to a triple at no extra charge. The hotel is old, like everything else in central Sultanahmet. But it's bearable.

Perfect location for tourism and very helpful and kind staff. Breakfast is basic. The show cabin was tiny.

This hotel is exceptionally! We loved soo much. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

A very nice hotel for a long weekend in Istanbul. The location is excellent; all the sights are within walking distance. The breakfast is decent, filling, and you have a great view of the sea at breakfast. The reception was always very friendly. Small and cozy, great, always happy to come back.
