Tamara Residence in Istanbul

We arrived at Tamara Residence as walk-in guests — a family of six, with four adults and two children. The manager on duty (I didn’t catch his name, but he wears spectacles) was incredibly welcoming and offered us a fantastic rate, even better than what we had seen online.

We stayed six nights before heading to Cappadocia for three nights, and he kindly stored our luggage during that time. We returned for another four nights at the end of our trip.

The hotel is wonderfully located — literally on Taksim Square — making it super convenient for food, drinks, taxis, and exploring the area. The rooms are compact, which worked fine for two adults and two children, and everything was spotlessly clean.

Overall, the staff were extremely accommodating, the location is unbeatable, and it was a truly wonderful stay. I will definitely stay at Tamara Residence again!

We had an amazing stay at Tamara Residence Hotel in Taksim from 27 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile.

The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the heating was excellent—even though it was snowing and freezing outside, we were always warm inside. There was hot water available at all times, which made our stay even more comfortable.

The breakfast was great value for the price we paid, with a good selection to start the day. We did have a small issue with the airport shuttle, but a middle-aged gentleman (I believe he is the owner) personally stepped in, resolved the issue quickly, and was very understanding and helpful. That level of care really made a difference.
Without forgetting that the residence is just 3 mins away from Taksim miydani.
Thank you for the beautiful stay. If I come back to Istanbul, I will definitely stay at Tamara Residence Hotel again. Highly recommended!

Everything was fine, the location is super, just the rooms are very small

While the approach to the hotel features a steep incline, this is immediately mitigated by the presence of the hotel's courteous staff. A member of the team was consistently available outside the entrance to assist with luggage, ensuring a smooth arrival experience.

The immediate impression upon entering is excellent. The lobby is spacious and well-lit, creating an inviting atmosphere. Strategically placed to the left of the entrance is a shelf displaying a diverse selection of brochures, providing an insightful and comprehensive first overview of the city for arriving guests. Extending from the main lobby area is a small, charming terrace. This space offers a pleasant spot for relaxation, allowing guests to enjoy street views or a quiet cup of tea.

The breakfast offering was a significant highlight, distinguished by its remarkable variety.

Salad Selection: A notable and unexpected inclusion was the extensive array of salads. This went beyond typical continental fare, featuring fresh options like cucumber, tomato, and pepper, alongside prepared sliced salads of carrot, beetroot, green lettuce, and cabbage.

Core Offerings: The buffet also provided a full range of standard breakfast items, including various spreads, eggs prepared boiled or scrambled, and a particularly fantastic cheese pastry.

Beverages: Both cold and hot beverages were available, ensuring that all guest preferences were catered to.

The hotel staff was friendly and highly attentive. They were proactive and eager to assist with any requests.

The guest rooms are compact in size, but clean.

In summary, the Tamara Residence offers excellent value, making it a highly recommendable choice for accommodation in Istanbul. Its key selling point is its strategic location, being in very close proximity to Taksim Square and a major metro station, facilitating easy access to the city's main attractions and transport network.

Location is ideal. Just 1-2 minutes to Taksim Square and to the bus ,train station and on walking distance from Hava bus/ HavaIST bus to the airports.

Very small room, good and plentiful breakfast, good cleanliness, close to both Taksim and the bus from IST airport

One of the beautiful, economical hotels in Sisli, close to the Sisli Mosque and not far from Cevahir Mall. Its area is very quiet. Its drawback is that the room does not have an actual window, as it overlooks a skylight distributed among the rooms, but it is clean and good.
