The location of this hotel is good, a short walk away from the Blue Mosque. It is quite small. My room was up two flights of narrow stairs (no lift) and the internet connection was very slow. Breakfast (which was OK with some fresh bread) was next door in the sister hotel with a view over the sea of Marmara. I have an allergy to house dust mites and the pillows seemed to set it off. Helpful staff who pointed me in the direction of a decent restaurant nearby.

Strengths: the friendly staff; the location. Everything else is poor. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. Once you get there you’ll realize those were enhanced. Try the hotel next door by the same owners: Harmony hotel. Much much better and for a little bit extra.

We had great time at walnut shell. It's located about five minutes walk to blue mosque. Staff are very helpfull. They helped with dlrections, taxis and all other needs.

The staff have been very helpful trying to accommodate out check-in time. Location is the best as well: a 2 min walk from the embankment and 10 min away from all central attractions. However the air conditioning did not work in our room and the staff did not attempt to change the room or fix the aircon. The windows of our room opened onto a construction site where heavy duty machinery were banging on until midnight. Obviously we could not close the windows as the aircon was broken. So check your room! There was no soap in the dispenser and the staff did not once attempt to fill it in until we complained. Breakfast is now is a next building which is a little inconvenient but not a big deal. The breakfast was very tasty and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall the staff were trying but something was amiss for our stay.

1. Cozy place with a small bedroom and a sitting room along with a portico that oversees the sea. Gulls regularly visit this place. 2. The views are worth the price. 3. The staff are quite helpful and accommodating. 4. The Turkish breakfast is appetizing 5. The hotel is nearer to almost all attractions.

This is a small hotel situated in a perfect spot in the older area of the city. Its excellent value for money, does a great breakfast and the staff are very helpful. If you want the top floor balcony room, be prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs. Our room was great, couple of minor issues with fittings but other than that would highly recommend. For all the major attractions it's perfect.

A wonderful hotel and great service! Will always book again when I visit!
The reception is upbeat and friendly, and a wonderful atmosphere encompasses the hotel with all their staff.
The rooms are very nice for the prices they charge, and the management was ready to work with my requests at any moment. The food was delicious, even if I didn’t have much experience with Turkish cuisine. We enjoyed our stay and all in all a lucky find for us! I sincerely recommend this hotel to all tourist and travelers, single or with family to book here.

It's cheaper then others centrally located. Rooms are tight and old. Kettle with no plug socket and leaking fridge Couldn't move around much. It does the job. Breakfast next door is decent. Good for travelling. Slept well. Friendly staff
