Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel

I stayed at Sunlight Hotel and was horrified to discover bedbugs in my room. Although the staff moved me to another room, my bites worsened over the next few days. When I reported this, the manager accused me of bringing the bedbugs myself and told me to leave the hotel—despite having paid nearly $1,000 for two rooms and it being my last day.

The manager was rude, dismissive, and showed zero concern for guest health or hygiene. Instead of offering any help—like insect soothing cream or taking responsibility—they chose to blame me. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. I have reported the incident to the authorities.

I booked this hotel by Booking.com and I fully regret it. The information is not correct for example on this hotel have a restaurant. In reality, it only had a small bistro-like setup, not a proper restaurant.The food provided to guests was sourced from nearby restaurants.The cutlery and dinnerware were dirty and improperly washed.
The room was completely different from the ones shown online.Dark interiors with inadequate lighting
Very few electrical sockets,Dirty walls and dusty curtains .The mattress was too large for the bed frame, causing it to lean dangerously. Sitting on the edge meant you risked falling.
Nails were sticking out from the bed frame—posing a serious safety hazard.
There were no accessible sockets for the electric kettle. Every time we needed tea, we had to unplug the fridge.
Cleaning Services Were Almost Non-Existent
In 10 nights, the bed was made only once.
Housekeeping only changed towels and left water bottles. No mobbing or dusting etc.
While the hotel is located in a tourist-friendly area, it is extremely difficult for those with mobility issues. Hotel Sunlight is situated on a steep hill, making it a struggle for people with conditions like osteoarthritis or asthma.
As for Hotel Sunlight, my experience was horrible—from false advertising and poor hygiene to safety hazards and rude staff. I strongly advise against booking this hotel if you care about your comfort, safety, and well-being.
