I stayed at kocak pension hotel in Istanbul and it was the worst experience of my life. The place was filthy, full of insects, and honestly no better than a toilet. When I complained to the management, they were extremely rude and disrespectful. I was forced to leave and book another hotel, losing my money and peace of mind. This kind of place is unsafe and damages the reputation of Istanbul. Where are the Tourism Police and the Ministry of Tourism in controlling such establishments? Please take urgent action to shut down places like this and protect Istanbul’s image

Oh, this is the worst hotel, it is better to spend the night on the street than here! We booked in advance, the website had normal photos, we were taken in by them and the price, as it turned out, it was a big mistake, we arrived late at night and simply had nowhere to go, we had to stay here for the night! We paid for the hotel in advance, we came there, they said the payment did not go through, we had to pay in cash, it is very strange, they wrote off the money from the card! We checked into the room, there were 2 beds and a nightstand, there was dust on the nightstand, the same thing, the floors looked like they hadn't been washed since this hotel was built, there were bugs and hair everywhere, just yuck, the bed was dirty and smelly, smelly to the point that I just wanted to puke, there was air conditioning in the room but it had worn out over time, the toilet was old and dirty, the shower was dirty but the water pressure was normal, there was no shampoo, no gel, not even a towel, we just stood there and dried off because there was nothing to dry ourselves with, we spent the night in this homeless shelter, in the morning we were completely covered in this stench, it was just yuck, then we left the hotel like a bullet and went out into the yard, and the stench was even worse, I don't know how we didn't smell this stench at night, but in the morning to get to a normal street you have to go through a yard with a dump, and it's just a nightmare, you take a step and, excuse the expression, you start vomiting , which is what I actually did) imagine a city dump and a rotten one at that, it's awful, I really really don't recommend this hotel! I'm not writing here out of malice, I just want to warn you! It's better to look at a slightly more expensive hotel, but it will be comfortable, clean and won't stink

I booked this hotel on the website ***********. Hotel cancellation was free, not a word was said about the fact that money would be debited from the card, it was written that booking cancellation was free until 04/21/2023. The hotel withdrew money from the card on 03/25/2023 without warning. I canceled my reservation on March 26, 2023. The money was not returned. They don't answer letters.

Nice place and great deal for the price. Close to the Subway station, staff is welcoming and the place is clean. Don't expect presidential lux, since the price is very cheap :) Nice to stay for a night or two.

Friendly man on the desk, close to the bus station and metro plus nice that is relatively close to main sights in Istanbul. Close to convenience stores. Had a fridge and tv plus kitchen type setup upstairs. We stayed in the basement room which was comfortable enough. 18€ per night was pretty good value.
