Reviews
The breakfast is spectacular, and you have beautiful views since it's on the top floor.
Basic amenities were also a problem. The soap dispenser was empty and never refilled, there was no water or tea kettle in the room, no tissue box, and not even a towel rack in the bathroom. The shower water turned cold after five minutes. The fitness center didn’t open until 3:00pm, and the guy working there acted strange and even got angry that I was exercising with a long-sleeve shirt on—he actually wanted me to take it off, which made no sense.
At the reception, only one girl spoke English; the men didn’t and they didn’t smile or engage with guests. Breakfast wasn’t good either—very few options and the boiled eggs were frozen cold. When I called around 7pm on a Saturday to ask about room service and the restaurant, they told me everything was closed.
Even the other guests behaved unusually; people stared in a weird way and the overall atmosphere just didn’t feel like a normal luxury hotel experience.
Overall, nothing matched the way the hotel presents itself, especially the false claim that all rooms are air-conditioned. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The room had absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. Toiletries (shampoo and conditioner), towels, slippers, robes (which was a pleasant surprise), cups, glasses, and a sewing kit (needles and thread).
Some might miss a kettle, but there's a bar on the ground floor where you can get tea, coffee, and hot water 24/7. However, once after midnight, we were told there was no tea or coffee.
There's a refrigerator in the room. There's a closet with hangers, and a TV (we watched YouTube).
They were cleaned every day.
Breakfasts on the 7th floor are delicious (again, in my opinion). They're repetitive, but we didn't have time to try everything during our five-day stay.
There's also a sauna, hammam, and swimming pool. They're small, but still a big plus. Included in the room rate.
The hotel's location: close to Bayazit Square and Mosque. 3 minutes to the Bayazit tram stop. All major attractions are within walking distance.
I highly recommend this hotel!
We were so lucky and thrilled to find this hotel! The location is perfect! It's simply a fairytale! It's worth noting that there are many hotels in the area, but they're half the standard and the price is the same or higher. On the first day of our vacation, we ended up at a nearby hotel, and it was a nightmare, even knowing we were planning to spend all day walking and only sleeping in the hotel.
Regarding the Baron Hotel, the breakfasts are simply amazing. It was a surprise and a great joy for us, very varied and filling.
The spa area is free for guests. Complimentary tea and coffee are available all day. The classic rooms are very comfortable, clean, and cozy. We met the young owner of the hotel at breakfast; he was very friendly and happy to chat with Russian-speaking guests and practice his Russian. We had small talk every breakfast, which added to the feeling of being welcome. I'll definitely be back in Istanbul, and I'll definitely choose this comfortable and friendly hotel. I highly recommend it and wish this wonderful family business prosperity!
