HOTEL WAS SMOKING HOTEL WAS VERY BAD WE COULDN'T STAY AT LL . WE LEFT AS SOON AS WE CHECK IN AND DIDN'T RECEIVED ANY REFUND . WE LOST MONEY FOR 4 NIGHTS

Review for the Peakstar Istanbul: The hotel makes a good impression from the outside. Inside, it's dark and dated, smelling of cigarette smoke and musty. The reception isn't exactly friendly—quite the opposite. Blah blah blah, room card, and please move on or go to your room. Next please. The room makes a clean first impression if you don't look in the corners. The room is dated, and the floor is in dire need of renovation. It's very small, about 8-10 square meters. There's a 50 cm wide broom cupboard that serves as a wardrobe. Inside, there's a shelf underneath where you can hang things. We have to live out of our suitcases for the six days we booked. It's almost like camping. Absolutely unacceptable! We've never experienced anything like this before. The bed is about 1.60 m wide. Sleeping on top of each other is better. There are also many Arab guests staying here with lots of children, who also make the nights sleepless. That's unacceptable. Endless noise!!! Complaints are ignored, what else? The TV in the room didn't work for two days. A technician had to come after countless attempts to change the batteries. Our room was only cleaned after 4 p.m. after we complained. The room keys don't work 95% of the time, which means you have to keep going to reception on the fifth floor. The elevator stops at the breakfast room about 15 cm below the floor, see pictures. Huge tripping hazard!!! My wife fell as a result. We reported it, but we received no apology or anything similar from reception or the manager, Dogan. That's unacceptable. An elevator that doesn't work should be shut down immediately!!! People's lives are in danger. Who is taking responsibility for this, the manager? The toilets at reception, men's and women's, were completely filthy, there was a lack of toilet paper, soap, and towels. Just disgusting. The floor was disgustingly wet and damp, urine? When we pointed it out, it was cleaned, 50% of the time. The next day the same. The coffee machine in the breakfast room needs to be cleaned, if it's working. Ideally, a new one. Lots of people visit every day. The breakfast buffet doesn't even come close to the one on the hotel's website. Everything is boring and dreary. There are also tripping hazards, and you have to duck your head to avoid injuring yourself. Complaints are not welcomed. I was completely ignored. The manager, Dogan, is in denial and shirks his responsibility. There was no response or personal discussion to several inquiries. My conclusion: two stars are too many and one is justified. The entire team should be replaced, starting with the gutless manager, Dogan. I would not recommend him.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, instead of being greeted with hospitality and courtesy, I encountered impatient staff who seemed indifferent to my needs. But the real letdown came when I discovered that my plastic bag with unwashed clothes had disappeared from my room. The response from the staff was inadequate and disappointing, leaving me feeling insecure about the safety of my personal belongings. Furthermore, it was evident that the room was not cleaned thoroughly. I urge all potential guests to avoid this hotel and seek alternative options that offer better service and security for their personal items.

Advantages:
Location is good just like any other hotel in the area.
Disadvantages:
Poor service, bad cleaning, very old building/furniture.

Didn't like the place

I requested late check out like 1 hour , they refused , i have no problem just its thier right , and in purposely they called at 11:00 AM saying its check out time , somehow rude receptionist .. cleaning of the room is bad .. breakfast is good , in total not recommended many better places and kind people in the same area ..
