We booked this hotel due to a cancelled flight and had no prior information about the property. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.
The room was extremely dirty.
The bed was infested with bed bugs, the bathroom floor had hair and dead cockroaches, and the fridge was moldy with hair inside.
After arriving with several suitcases, we were told our room was on the third floor with no elevator and very narrow spiral stairs, which made carrying luggage extremely difficult. When I asked for help, the receptionist reacted rudely and shockingly, questioning why we had so many suitcases.
We booked for two nights but left after the first night because the conditions were unbearable. The receptionist refused any refund and said it was “our problem”.
The only good point is the location.
Everything else was awful.
I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has a 3-star rating.

Long uphill climb to reach but location is good if you want to close to tourist area. Its above restaurant so no obvious signboard and lobby, take note not to get loss. Room is good, spacious as in tourist center, basic and average clean (got leftover from last guest , but still consider ok).

Small hotel but with great access to Sultanahnet square which is amazing for its history ie Blue Mosque. Also has access to variety of bars and restaurants which are only 10 mins away. Staff helpful as we arrived earlier than anticipated but looked to accommodate our early check in request and let us go to room immediately. We also required an early check out at 5-30 am to fly home which was happy to do and also sourced a taxi

Here are my thoughts:
Cons:
- wifi was super slow
- I didn’t have any toilet paper on check in
- small and didn’t really look like the pictures
- breakfast was average but takes a bit long . It’s actuallly located in the underground bottom floor. I thought it was at the roof but I climbed all the way up for nothing
- door lock system was just a knob lock which didn’t feel safe but it was okay in the end
- no elevators (avoid if you have knee problems)
Pros:
- staff was ok
- location was great as you’re right beside the Blue Mosque, Sofia, Topki Palace and Basilica Cistern and more
- beds were comfy

The Sunrise hotel is cozy little place. It is more like guesthouse. Host lady is very friendly and helpful. Also the hotel location is the best for city exploring, The Blue Mosque, Aya sofiya and the grand bazaar is only 10-15 minute walking distance. Thank you for the great experience.

This is a very very nice hotel! The location is just perfect, only 5 minutes’ walk from Ayasofia. The room is small but it contains everything you need, and it’s very clean. The hotel owner is a very very kind and sweet lady, and provides great breakfast (simple, but delicious). I absolutely love her:) and love this hotel! Highly recommend for travelers on budget!

Great place, close to sultanahmet area. But there is no elevator especially if you bring your family with a lot of stuffa but the staff help us. Except that, they have service (there is cost) to airport. Better than you take the taxi.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
The location was perfect, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Highly recommended – I will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at this hotel with my father for 7 days. The location is impeccable. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the hippodrome and it was really worth it. The breakfast was also very good and varied and the view was just wonderful. But the best part of this hotel was its kind, professional and friendly staff. Everyone, from the ladies who prepared breakfast, to the house keepers, to the receptionists, were all extremely warm and friendly. Mr. Mesut, the manager was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of good guidance on what to do and see. He was really polite, kind nad professional. I can't say enough about how welcome him and his team made us feel. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will do our best to book a room with them again. 5 stars.

small and nice hotel very central, easy to get around in every part of the city. the staff is polite and kind I was in Istanbul for work and a bit of vacation I managed to do both without problems. they recommended me a place not very touristy and very Turkish and I was able to play a bit.. thank

Very safe hotel , with a great location, i was very comfortable living in it because its beside a police station.
Negatives :
- elevator is too small , it can take 3 maximum without the bags
- breakfast is not varied, repeated , everyday the same food, with a very very small changes
- food is too expensive, i bought a Sandwich for 600TL
Positives :
- Ali is a great guy , helped me a lot , i hope for him a good day
- staff is very cooperative and friendly thanks to them
- the hotel takes the customer reviews seriously

What can I say about this hotel, pure hospitality and a must stay when your in Istanbul. Take it from me the service is special especially Mehmut and Sena who always greet you and take care of you whenever you need. Sena especially well done! The breakfast is fresh whenever you need no matter what time you get up. If you need a top up a fresh portion it will be made for you.
