This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I’d say it’s a 3 at a push. We was placed in a family room by mistake, allowed to unpack all our belongings and sleep one night in this room to be told we then had to move. We then got told it was because air-con in our room was broken but then was told it was to do with a leak… We got told to move at 10:30am so repacked all our belongings, then got told it was at 12:00pm then finally at 1:30pm we got the room we were put in out of being able to choose from three. So we basically spent the first day living out our suitcase. The room we was then put it was filthy, there was black hairs all over the bedding like it hadn’t been cleaned and stains all over. The extractor in the bathroom didn’t work so we then had to ask for that to be repaired. Finally after realising how dirty the room was I went back down and asked to be moved before unpacking it was now 3:00pm. The receptionist said can we wait for cleaners to re cleaned the room as it takes an hour and I said no as we’d been there nearly 24hr and still not unpacked. We was then given a significantly larger room on the 5th floor which was obviously an upgrade and I appreciated that. However no apology was given by any staff for how we had been messed around, we was told there would be present for us initial before given the dirty room which we never received. So this was disappointing. The upgraded room’s door didn’t actually lock but because of the fact this was our third room I couldn’t even be bothered to address this again. The food was not good, it was extremely repetitive and the chips tasted like they had been kept from the night before. We ate out 3 nights out of the 7. I’d highly recommend the steak house down the road at pine restaurant, the meals there were amazing and recommended by two other family’s we met when we expressed our dissatisfaction of the meals we had at the hotel. The beach is nothing like it’s advertised, there is no beach bar. There’s two metal containers with hardly any food there. There’s a golf buggy that takes you down there but no timings for it so you just have to chance it and wait or walk the 10 minutes to the beach. The pool was lovely, and there’s lots of sunbeds available. Only downside is broken glass from various people dropping glasses which I cut myself on when getting on my sunbed, I reported it to staff but nothing was done really. I was more worried for kids that could be running round and hurt themselves. The entertainment was good and all the staff had been very accommodating and friendly. The spa did a great massage too and had lovely staff working there. There were lots of cats and kittens in and round the hotel which is fine by me, however I’m unsure if they are actually taken care of as they should. It would be good if an area could be made for them to be fed, watered and sleep so it can prevents children from grabbing them like toys. Overall I’d say the hotel is average but I wouldn’t retu
