The food at the hotel is decent, and they also provide room service, which is convenient if you don’t want to step out.
However, I did face one concerning thing. When I checked the mini bar, I noticed that more than five bottles were already opened and half empty. Each item was priced at 39 AED, so it felt a bit suspicious, and I was unsure if I was being set up or not. I immediately informed the hotel, and to be fair, they understood the situation and did not question me. I asked them to remove all the items from the mini bar, and they did so quickly. So, I appreciate their response even though the situation was not ideal.
There is also a club on the ground floor, but honestly, I found it quite boring and not worth visiting.
Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you want a good location and reasonable service. Just make sure to check the mini bar the moment you enter the room. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay.
The breakfast downstairs is relatively simple, costing 50 RMB per person, but it's enough to fill you up. The hotel also has entertainment activities which can be quite noisy, so it's good to inquire when checking in. Rooms ending in x12 on each floor have great views and are quiet.
It's close to Al Ras Metro Station, Exit 2, about a 300-meter walk, making it convenient to get anywhere by metro. Next to it are the Deira markets, including the famous Gold Souk and Spice Souk. Be aware that the gold there now looks quite pale, its purity is unclear, and prices are high.
They said they will fix it but it never happened. The internet is also slow.
The staff was good. Never again. Agoda needs to drop them. I should be refunded for at least 1 night.
The room was quite spacious considering the price we paid. The bed was comfortable as well. However, the carpet and sofa chairs were a bit old and had many stains.
The staff were nice and hospitable, and they cleaned the room daily.
The issues we encountered during our stay:
There is a bar inside the hotel, and we could clearly hear the music even past midnight.
At check-out, they insisted that one large towel was missing. We definitely did not take it—honestly, the towels weren’t even good enough to bother stealing. Still, they were adamant, so to end the discussion I paid 30 AED for the “missing” towel. For that price, I could have bought a fluffy new one at Carrefour.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay—except for the 30 AED we had to pay for the towel.
