Flora Al Barsha Hotel at the Mall in Dubai

Hotel is near metro and shopping. Good room and klean. Personel friendly. Breakfast is not good , bread heaten in de moment, as croissants, 3 at time, little peaces of cheese. Diner the worst that I had in my long life.

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in Dubai – poor service, bad maintenance, and zero hospitality.

I arrived at this hotel in Dubai after informing them about my arrival time. No one met me at the entrance. The doors are huge and not automatic – I had to drag two heavy suitcases myself. Not a single staff member offered help.

🔹 Check-in experience:
The receptionist took a deposit and said the blocked money “will be released later,” but still made me pay again for two full nights even though we had clearly agreed via Booking.com chat on a short stay (about 5 hours) and a discount.
When I showed our conversation, he ignored it and offered a fake “discount” – 10 AED off breakfast. A few minutes later, I overheard him saying exactly the same line to another guest. Clearly a standard trick, not customer care.

🔹 Room quality:
The first room smelled of damp. After I asked to move, the second one wasn’t much better:
– freezing cold even with the A/C off;
– broken shower, leaking water and clogged drain;
– two single beds pushed together, very hard mattress;
– curtains don’t close fully, light comes through;
– missing bathrobes, toiletries, and towels.

🔹 Overall impression:
The staff act polite but show no empathy or professionalism. The hotel looks nice in photos but feels soulless, cold, and poorly maintained.

❌ Not recommended. If you value comfort, honesty, and good service – avoid this hotel in Dubai.
