Troy in London

I stayed for two nights with my brother and both our rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The reception staff were really friendly,and also the ladies who were working in the breakfast room.The location is very good for the Albert Hall where we were attending a concert.I would definitely stay here again and it was value for money compared to a lot of other London hotels!

Another great stay at The Troy hotel. Perfectly situated opposite Hyde Park and 2 minutes walk from the tube (Queensway, Bayswater or Lancaster Gate) when in London, we would never stay anywhere else. This is a friendly, safe hotel which is always clean and bright, rooms are comfortable and spacious and serviced daily. Buffet breakfast offers cereals, fruit, yogurts, croissants, bread rolls with eggs, cheese, jams etc. fruit juices and tea/coffee. We really enjoy our time here and our regular chats with the reception staff. A real home from home. Thank you all. See you again in April.

Had a 3 night stay at the Troy. Nice room, nice bathroom, small shower though ! Breakfast continental, no hot food. 5 min walk to the tube and nice restaurants. Nice hotel in nice area.

I would recommend this hotel. The reception staff was helpful. The room is nice and clean with no unpleasant odors. There is a desk with a chair, king sized bed, refrigerator, luggage rack, nice closet, two nightstands with storage, and a hair dryer. There is no air conditioning and the heat hasn’t been turned on yet. Troy Hotel had no thermostat in my room. There could be a problem for someone with a mobility issue because the elevator didn’t work one day, it was stuck on the fifth floor one day, and for a long time it didn’t go down to the breakfast room in the basement. The breakfast is nice and varied but don’t expect any meats, or fresh fruit.

Fabulous! For the price; bear in mind that the Troy Hotel is not the Savoy. However in the price range it is very good. Although it is not a hotel for users of wheelchairs. I have mobility issues but I managed and the staff could not have been more accommodating to me; the lift was not working properly on our first night and we were accommodated in an available room, then re accommodated for the rest of our stay in a more suitable room. There is a small fridge in every room which is useful for keeping milk or water cold, like so many other hotels there are never enough of those dreadful little pots of milk, so to be able to keep a couple of pints of milk in the fridge is fabulous. There is a large fridge in the front hall containing chilled bottles of water and the cheapest cans of Coke, Fanta and suchlike anywhere in the whole country let alone London. The Troy is clean and tidy with friendly, helpful staff. Downsides, the breakfasts are basic ‘continental’ type and no other meals are available during the day or in the evening, that we were aware of; eating out is the only choice at nearby restaurants of which there are many. We enjoyed our stay, but due to my personal mobility issues I would try for somewhere with greater access.

Just returned from another excellent stay at the Troy. This is our regular place as it’s always clean friendly and homely. The staff are brilliant and rooms serviced daily. Nothing is too much trouble. Location perfect for the underground and Kensington gardens just a few steps away. Self service buffet breakfast always fresh and good choice. Add excellent value for money and that’s the reason we would never stay anywhere else. Well done Sammi and the team. Hope to see you again soon.
