A really lovely hotel and bar! Beautiful family room, sparkling clean with lovely toys, biscuits and hot chocolate catered for the children. We were very impressed. Great location to get in and out of central London. As it was Easter weekend the bar and restaurant areas were exceptionally busy! We have stayed in Young hotels before and would highly recommend all of them! We will definitely stay here again! Thank you.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, couple of Negronis to start, superb roast beef with all the trimmings, followed by an incredible sticky toffee pudding. All washed down by a great bottle of Chocolate Block, S African Red. Staff wonderfully attentive and polite. Will definitely be heading back.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. We love the hotel. The rooms are luxurious but not pricey. Have stayed a few times now as the location is greet for visiting my daughter in Earlsfield.

2nd time staying at The Alma, it’s everything that the big corporate hotels aren’t. Friendly staff, excellent service and also reasonably priced. That extends to the pub/ bar which is at the heart of The Alma, it’s a very friendly local with a good choice of proper beers. The restaurant has a good menu and again service is prompt and attentive (trying not to over-use friendly here). Breakfasts are a highlight of the stay, everything freshly cooked to order, a good range of choices and some of the best French pastries I’ve tasted. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable, I’m one of those men on whom decor etc is wasted! However the location is very quiet, most unusual for a city hotel: two nights and never a sound of police or ambulance sirens. As for the location, Wandsworth is only 15 minutes from Waterloo, hardly and distance at all. Would I come back again, definitely. Am I recommending The Alma to friends and family, again most definitely.

The best rooms , delicious biscuits on arrival and personal notes to make you feel welcome .. The food in the restaurant an added pleasure .. My home from home in London . Highly recommended and many thanks to all the staff @ the Alma for a wonderful stay 10/10

Lovely welcoming dog friendly (dog bed, bowls and treats supplied)room in a wonderful hotel and pub in a vibrant and well connected Wandsworth. Evening meal was a delight, we chose the Whole Brixham Plaice from the specials and the Burger, followed by the cheeseboard to share, excellent. Accompanied by one their Sublime Rose’s and draft IPA. Breakfast was equally good. wasn’t informed of the late check out for direct bookers but took the available time to explore the shops and cafes on the high street. Will definitely return. Negatives? Only that as is common nowadays, the mirror illumination is so poor you have to shave by touch - apart from that, faultless!

What a wonderful stay in this beautiful boutique style pub/residence in wandsworth town. It is sumptuous and very very quiet; an oasis of calm in London. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. The reception staff above and beyond, the restaurant and bar staff on top form. My wife and I were blown away at the experience. Will definitely be back in a heartbeat. Don't miss this little Gem of a place

We always love going to stay at The Alma, always welcomed with a smile and a friendly face. We stayed this time in one of the newly refurbished rooms which was lovely. The only thing I would say as a negative is “the pillows” flat pancakes is the only way to describe them. What happened to the old pillows ??

From the very beginning of my stay at The Alma, it was clear that the hotel truly cares about the comfort of its guests. The staff were incredibly helpful—always friendly and ready to answer any question. There is a pub and restaurant located om the ground floor, but despite this, the room was completely quiet, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing rest. A big highlight was the delicious food – everything was fresh, well-prepared, and served in a pleasant atmosphere. The room itself featured many details that gave it an almost royal character – elegant finishes, stylish furniture, and carefully crafted décor made the entire space feel remarkably dignified. Among the most notable amenities was the ability to adjust the room temperature, making it easy to tailor the conditions to personal preferences. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by soft classical music playing from the radio, which created a unique atmosphere and immediately set a relaxing tone. The bathroom was equipped with a set of high-quality toiletries: hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Another great convenience was the variety of power outlets – traditional British plugs along with USB-C and USB-A ports, so charging devices was never an issue. Close to the hotel is a bus stop and train station. To sum up – The Alma is a wonderful choice: comfortable, atmospheric, and offering outstanding service.

Great looking pub and good for drinks but surprisingly appalling and expensive food

This looked like quite a smart pub in a nice area, so I had high hopes. However, the food was very average. My boyfriends meal was very small. I went for the roast - whilst the meat was tasty, it was fairly chewy, the potatoes were undercooked and far from crispy, and it came with some sort of puréed veg, which had been blended to the consistency of a smoothie.

I was surprised we were asked to use the 'card safe' when ordering our food/drinks, a bit tacky... but maybe we looked dodgy. I'm not convinced the other diners were asked to use the card safe.

On the plus side, it's in a good location, nice decor and there's always a nice atmosphere. I'd definitely go back for drinks but probably not for food.

Good place to have a good pint. Served well and the staff are very helpful.
