Mowbray Court Hotel in London

So many bad reviews on Google, and they're all accurate. This is a semi-basement room with outdated facilities, terrible soundproofing, and dusty hangers. The bed is small and uncomfortable, the mattress creaks, and the bedding is linty. The only decent thing was the relatively clean towels. Definitely not worth the price.

The double rooms are more suited for one person to stay the rooms are compact with little room for manoeuvring even cabin sized suitcases. The limited space in the desk and wardrobe spaces is also largely reserved for the tea station and safe. So realistically expect to live out of your luggage for the trip.

Bathrooms similarly have no room for even sitting on the toilet or entering shower cubicles. The shower cubicles leave minimal space for movement. Our bathroom sink was also problematic with draining water after any use, with it being quite shallow the water would leave the sink unusable for 10-15 mins at a time. Other than the sides of the sink which was small anyway the bathroom has no storage space for anything beyond a toothbrush.

The room only had one working electrical socket when questioning to staff if this could be checked why the other socket wasn’t working we were told to use the socket behind the tv that was above head height at the end of the room. The rooms also had no bed light so it might the whole room was lit up if needing to get up in the dark.

While the location of the hotel was great for tube access it wouldn’t outweigh the cons of the hotel if wanting a comfortable stay personally.
