Reviews
But! On the morning of check-out at 8:30 AM! Someone knocked on the door, and then the door was opened directly! It was the housekeeping staff. After opening the door, they said something and then closed it again. It made me both scared and unable to sleep well.
Aside from that, the other staff were okay, and the service was quite good. The young man who helped with my luggage at the door and the front desk staff were very helpful.
This stay was a nightmare, and I'm so angry I have to give it a terrible review!
First, the safety is a serious concern: my phone was stolen while swimming in the hotel pool, which I had carelessly left on the shore. The hotel lacked adequate CCTV coverage and staff patrolling the area. Their response afterward was perfunctory; they didn't proactively assist in finding the phone or offer any solutions, leaving guests' property completely unprotected!
Second, the service was appalling: the staff in the beach area were arrogant and indifferent. Even worse, some beach chairs were charged extra, with a confusing and unclear pricing structure – pure forced consumption and a disguised form of overcharging!
I paid for this hotel to enjoy a vacation, but instead, I suffered a financial loss and was annoyed by terrible service. The hotel has serious flaws in its security management and service standards, completely failing to meet the quality expected at its price point! I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise everyone to think twice before choosing this hotel!
The rooms are clean, but the furniture is old. The closet and bathroom doors were sticky and unpleasant to touch, so I kept them open. The bed is very high, the first time I've seen one so high, but it's very spacious and very comfortable. The pillowcases smelled unpleasant, like dust, which left an unpleasant odor in my hair after sleeping. The receptionists were very friendly, helpful with our luggage, and always smiling. The pool is nice and clean, but I don't think it's heated; it was a bit chilly to swim in in November. The beach is private, but the area isn't fenced off, and it's wide with white sand. Sun loungers and towels are free. There's a bar by the pool, and the hotel staff also serve drinks and food from the menu. Overall, I recommend it.
My only gripe was the extra $18 dollars a day per person which we were not told about for using the facilities? And we lost a whole day and night due to our flights being cancelled and they didn’t want to give any refund and wanted to still charge us the $18 dollars per person for the day we were not even there. We did argue this they took it off but refused to refund the night stay for 2 rooms was $500 so a considerable amount to be out of pocket.
But if this hadn’t have happened we would not have any complaints.
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Nice little hole in the wall that feels like it would be great if you were a local and a regular. Nice customer service, and cozy. The place had a great menu with authentic Cuban selections.
The best part? It's actually affordable for this part of town. After eating at the hotels and finding myself a little sick of richer hotel fare, it was nice to get away and stumble into this cafe and order something a bit more down to earth.
