Loved my weekend here! The staff were all so kind and helpful. The little extras available on site (like drinks for purchase, and beach chairs and towels for free) were a delight too. And the whole social vibe here was great, always someone out on the front porch, partying at night and/or relaxing all day. The location is excellent too, two blocks from the beach, easy access to plenty of public transit, and walking distance to so many restaurants, bars, parks, museums, and shops. Great plane and critter watching from the front porch too!
Just watch out for roommates who cover the room ACs with their wet towels (it felt warm and damp all weekend I think because of that), and be aware that they don't have any fridges for you to store your (probably very expensive) leftover food!

Highly recommend the 8 bed rooms. 6 bed was too small... but I had no issues switching. Very close to the shopping and beach. Location is great! I'd stay there again.

Simply a hidden gem in the middle of the glamorous life of Miami Beach. The location is absolutely perfect. It's a Hostal, if you then you know. The staff was incredibly kind, if you had a bad experience most likely it's on you. Rooms have private bathroom, tiled shower, the room and bathroom gets clean every single day.
I can go on with a positive review.

Great location and very helpful and friendly staff. It's a very safe environment for everyone. The rooms and beds were clean and nice. I would have preferred if the bunks had built in curtains for privacy and dedicated lamps and power. Other than that you can't beat it for the price.

I would not recommend this place if you’re a Black traveler. The treatment here is noticeably different. The attitude and the energy shift the moment you walk in. And it’s not just me — you can ask any Black person who has stayed here. There is a pattern.

I came all the way from California — flew 3,000 miles — and even bought a car here to drive back. I showed my boarding pass and all my information. I did everything by the book. And they still made the process difficult, inconvenient, and disrespectful.

The room had a sour smell, they asked for a $50 deposit that was never disclosed, and they overcharged on top of that. Instead of hospitality, they gave attitude and resistance. The whole experience felt like they were trying to make it as hard as possible for me to stay here. It was inconsiderate and unnecessary.

If you’re thinking about staying in South Beach:
Do your research first.
Pull up and ask to see the room before you book anything.
Make sure the energy is right.

Honestly, I recommend staying off South Beach altogether. There are plenty of places nearby where the vibe is better, the prices are fair, and the staff treat you like a human being. South Beach might look good on the surface, but the experience is not worth the disrespect. They really do give Black people a hard time. Period.

Nice front desk staff and staff in general but the other guest in the room do not shower and the room smells like a landfill.

I shared a room in a 6-bed room. It only had one large bathroom-shower, and the sink was in the common area of the room. Quite clean and check-in was very fast. They charge a $50 deposit. And they keep your suitcase for a certain time afterwards, otherwise they penalize you. I am happy with the place for quality - price. I could stay again without any problem. Thanks

First, the location is inside a bar and hard to discover it without any sign for travelers. Second, they listed lots of rules of penalty fare and required 50 dollars for secruity deposit, which left a very bad first impression. Third, I asked for a bottom bed at online booking in advance, but was assign to a up bed though the bottom bed was available. Fouth, this is the only hotel that doesn't provide quilt. Fifth, I booked a shared dormitry with males, but I was finally assigned to a mixed room. Overall, this is the worst experience I had!

Customer service very bad.I think they should pay salaries on a scale according to good customer service performance and not a fixed default salary. On the other hand, the hostel is in decline and they are no longer interested in providing excellent service because they believe that they will always continue to get clients. However, like me, I will look for other options that treat me better.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. Nicole Octavia or whatever her name is is the absolute worst. I came into the store and ordered a $7 salad, I asked her for a cup of water and she said she was out of complimentary cups. I advised her I really needed just a cup and I could drink it in front of her but she advised I would have to pay a full drink price for the cup of WATER. As a corporation, you are legally required to provide a source of WATER to a customer. She did not suggest one. She refused.
Of all the times I have purchased from subway, I have never dealt with someone as disgusting as her.
Her persona and presence just told me she didn't value or want this job.
Please rethink your hires

Over a half hour to receive food. Waiter never checked on us. Appetizer never came. Food was salty.

Went twice. 1st time was a terrible experience. Waiter was completely inattentive (waited 20 minutes just for water and to place our order). Fried calamari was good though, so Decided to give it another try because of the food and the Great happy hour deal ($5 for drinks).

2nd time, Bartender was awesome and had a great experience. Can't beat that happy hour deal

Great food! Interesting menu (cooking with Yuca, I get it!) Worth a visit if they can fix that one star issue.

The only star removed was for the smell. Not the food or the cook, but the restaurant itself. It had that musty, mopped 50 times with the same water kind of smell. Yes I know it's Miami and things are damp, but my nose didn't seem to have a problem everywhere else it went, just here.
