If you're in the area, desperately looking for a hotel after all flights and trains have been canceled, no rental cars available and you are literally trapped in this godforsaken city, keep looking. This isn't it.

$300 for a room about the size of a crack den.
-The AC has seen been decades.
-There are no lamps. You get all the light or no light at all.
-The outlets are placed in odd spots making it difficult to charge devices. -The tiny hovel of a bathroom doesn't have a single self to lay down a toothbrush, razor, or facewash.
-The shower has black mold so that's a fun little addition.
-The beds are very creaky. You hear EVERY SINGLE MOVEMENT.
-The laundry "room" is 2 ancient machines in a hallway. Nowhere to sit and wait, except the floor.

Whoever owns this place did a landlord special-slapped up some bright paint, add a shiny chandelier and called it day.

Do not stay here. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I really don't recommend, the price is extremely high and totally incompatible for the offered, there's no parking, only paying in the street. There is a vending machine that doesn't work, the restaurant partner was closed, apparently it just open for few hours around the lunch. I could see only two positive things, the location and the attendant. That was my experience.

I’d give this a hard pass guys. I made a booking here as I was going on the Caribbean cruise for five nights months in advance shortly for my holiday. They cancelled without proper reason or explanation. Reviews seem terrible so I should’ve read the reviews first so I wouldn’t recommend Luggage storage at the facility as this is what I had booked as this is one of the services they are supposed to offer but cancelled with very little notice.

I walked in and air wasn't working. Then I walked into the room and it was the size of a matchbox. It had a physical old key and the door look like you could bump it and it would open. The dead bolt didn't work and the bathroom so small you could turn around in it. The sink was at the door and the bed linen looked dirty. A straight dump. We checked in at 1045m and they charged us 30 dollars extra and then we check out at 1110am and we couldn't get any money back. The total cost was almost 325.00 for that dump. Never again.

Our first room was so dirty and caused everyone to sneeze for no joke 30 mins. We got a room change and got upgraded to BED BUGS AND COCKROACHES. After seeing the 4th roach i decided to leave we turn on the lights and THEYRE EVERYWHERE AND SCATTER UNDER THE BED. I got bit from being under the covers for 2 minutes. Room 208 btw!! This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at! The sheets are dirty the towels feel hard and sticky even tho they’re “clean” and the staff is uncaring. Except for the young gentleman working the night shift he made sure we made it to our car safely because we had to leave at 2 am in downtown Miami. Overpriced filth. There’s gonna be a commercial years from now saying “if you’ve stayed at the Miami sun you may be entitled to compensation” because I probably got mesothelioma from those rooms. And the elevators smells like the underneath of somebody’s stomach. I cannot stress it enough how much you should avoid this place it’s not worth being close the venue. RUN! Btw Pic is just from the FIRST roach… crazy sentence I know. Anyways, now I’m gonna go shower in bleach and holy water hopefully that’ll get the Miami sun off me.

Great location in downtown!!!!!! But parking sucks, you either drive around looking for a spot or just end up leaving it on a next door lot for $10. The lobby looks recently renovated and Does not look bad, the walls have fresh paint. The rooms are small, beds are hard, and the bathroom is just too small.....way to small. Management needs to do a deep cleaning and moping to those rooms. But for the money and location is good.

I liked it. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, area was quiet, got a great night's sleep. Morning restaurants we're right next door, 10 steps away from front entrance. I'd stay again.

Don't expect much if you're staying here. That being said, you get a bathroom and shower. There's air conditioning. Everything worked, but the hot water did run out. Not the cleanest looking room, but not bad. Parking across the street was cheap. It's in the middle of downtown, so you can walk to several places. Great barebones downtown stay on a budget.

The first sign of trouble was that I was handed an actual room key instead of a key card, so I knew I was in for a good one. Actually, it began when I was told there was no parking and that I could use the lot next door for $20.
As we entered the room, first thing I noticed was the size was extremely small for the price I paid. Then immediately I realized there was no carpet on the floor. There is no microwave, mini fridge, or coffee pot, let alone dressers to place your belongings. Forget taking an afternoon nap for the curtains over the windows are paper thin, letting tons of sunlight in. Toilet did not work properly and I had to pull the chain in the tank every time. Shower was tiny and reminded me of the ones in campers and the sink was outside of the bathroom on the other side of the wall with a very tiny mirror and no room to place toiletries. Television was the size of a laptop screen, but had cable. For what I was charged for this room, I felt I was ripped off. A Super 8 Motel is far superior to a stay at the Miami Sun Hotel. The only positive was that the tiny window AC did it's job. Definitely a disappointment and two thumbs down.

I have way more to say about this place than I could type in a timely manner but please heed my warning. This place is a nightmare. The service is garbage the rooms are worse and the environment is haunting strong police and homeless presence surrounding the hotel area. The rooms are disgusting the wife and I are convinced they didn't even change the sheeting with all the black hairs we found in the room (neither of us has black hair) we were doubled chargedand when asked for a refund we were basically laughed at and told that wasn't going to happen. I don't ever write bad reviews I'm fact this is only my third one and I highly recommend you save yourself the heartache and money and stay somewhere else.

The management here changed months ago. The previous blonde Cuban GM was a sweetheart. She and most her crew really knew how to treat people and still work hard.

Current management has raised prices and clearly pressures their servants too much - they seem stressed and tense, unlike at most Subways. Friendly people don't stay long.

They constantly lock their bathrooms, fountain, and some doors; rarely greet customers with a smile, have smaller cookies than before, AND have gotten rid of the coffee - on a college campus.

I went from a 3x a week regular to actively avoiding the place. It isn't a shadow of what it was a year ago.

unfriendly service and not everything available. apart from that a normal subway

Worst service I have seen aver!!! I told the guy I was for the first time in a subway ( also my last time, I hate that place now!) and I would like something to try, I ordered the daly menu... hegave me a sandwich, no salad, just a couple cheese slices, no salat for 9 f++#ng dollars!!! I had a bite from that sh#+t and put in in the garbage after. If a company does sanwiches only... why have to be the worst sandwiches? Worst invested 9 dollar in Miami ever! That was on 9.27 afternoon. If you dont like to work... dude dont work!!

WORST EMPLOYEES EVER!!! Very RUDE to customer.
Don't bother spending your money there. These employees will treat you like trash, and very racist and sexiest toward women or who u are (since mostly all employees are Females). I guarantee you, or you will regret it.

Not even going to bother rating them or giving them a one star since these specific Subway do not deserve it at all!

The managers needs to supervise and see who they are hiring because it can affect their customer service.

Service of poor quality, employees in bad mood and without patience. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

I enjoyed a generous portion of pulled pork with 5 different vinegar and bbq sauces... all delicious! The mac & cheese was creamy and the collard greens were tender and flavorful. It was a very enjoyable meal, but the best part was dessert! Homemade banana pudding with whipped cream and a pig shaped freshly baked pecan sandy cookie was to die for! I would go back just for the pudding, but am excited to try more of their dishes!

What an awesome experience. From the moment we walked in the door we couldn't help but feel like we were having dinner at a friend's house. The staff, Val, Andres, Pam and chef Cedric were nothing short of amazing. The food was simply out of this world. Each part of the dish unto itself was delicious, however the marriage of flavors between the entree and sides, the appetizer and it's sauces was absolutely magical. And the banana pudding!! Mouthfuls of heaven!! This place is a diamond in the rough. Don't miss out on your next trip to Miami.

The only thing that was good was the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Collard greens and mac & cheese no flavor. Paid 3.50 for a sides for sides smaller then a scoop of ice cream. Really ridiculous. Hell if your going to charge 3.50 for corn on the cob might as well give a whole corn not of it. The banana pudding tasted old. I'd only recommend this place only of your going for a sandwich and fries. Other then that don't waste your money. Miami has so many more bbq spots with better flavor and better portions for your buck.

This little BBQ hideaway was a pleasant find in downtown.

The pulled pork and the ribs were both excellently prepared. Neither was dry or under seasoned. The fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously, the best fries I've had outside Five Guys. Collards were traditionally flavored with vinegar. Mac n' Cheese was great; the noodles weren't overly soft and the cheese was dense, but light.

If you are a fan of spice, I highly recommend asking for their spicy sauces if they are not offered to you. The spicy vinegar sauce is a personal favorite with subtle layering of flavors. Magma was also excellent. Lava was a little too heat flavor and not enough real flavor for my tastes. The milder sauces were all excellent. I recommend pairing the apple cider vinegar sauce with the collard greens.

Service was prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Both our servers made some small talk and never let our water glasses be empty. Please be aware water costs 35 cents per person--we did not know this until it came time to pay, but was only a minor blemish on an otherwise great experience! Will be back.
