Reviews
The condition of the studio was unacceptable. The unit is extremely outdated and poorly maintained. We found a cockroach inside our room, which I personally had to kill. A photo is attached as evidence.
The bathroom was very small and uncomfortable. The toilet flushed very poorly — it often required multiple flushes, and the water would rise without draining properly. The shower temperature constantly shifted between cold and hot, and it took a long time to get warm water. The fixtures are old and unpleasant to use.
During heavy rain, water leaked from the ceiling near the bathroom light and dripped onto my personal items placed around the sink. Visible wall damage shows peeling paint and plaster separating due to ongoing moisture problems.
The hair dryer was in terrible condition — old, missing the nozzle attachment, and blowing extremely hot air that could easily burn your scalp. This equipment should not still be in use.
The bed linens were very poor quality. The sheets felt synthetic and plastic-like, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The fabric did not breathe and felt unpleasant against the skin.
The refrigerator and other appliances are very old and worn. Overall, the space feels neglected and poorly maintained.
The building has two elevators, but one was not working on our first day, forcing everyone to use only one elevator, which made wait times extremely long. The following day, the second elevator also broke and was out of service for an entire day. Even after repairs, one of the elevators broke again. We frequently had to wait a long time or use the stairs instead, which was very inconvenient.
The air conditioner was extremely noisy. It would constantly turn on throughout the night, and the loud sound would wake us up repeatedly. It was very difficult to get proper rest because of this.
We booked this unit from February 19 to March 2 and paid $2,070 for 10 nights. For that price, the condition of the property is completely unjustified. Comparable hotels and rentals in the area offer significantly better quality and maintenance for the same budget.
I highly not recommend!
The Marina Tower Waikiki proved to be an exceptional location for a recent Airbnb vacation. From the moment we arrived, the space felt welcoming, immediately living up to its description as a "great space to chill." The interior of the unit was comfortable, well-maintained, and offered a truly relaxing atmosphere that perfectly complemented a Hawaiian getaway.
One pleasant surprise that really enhanced the experience was the efficiency of the building's infrastructure. In a busy vacation hub like Waikiki, long waits for access can be frustrating, but the elevators moved quickly and without significant delay, which is a small but important detail when you’re coming and going multiple times a day.
Location-wise, the proximity to the marina and the easy access to local amenities made this a superior choice. While I personally wouldn't choose to live in Hawaii long-term, this tower offers everything one could want for a temporary stay. It strikes a fantastic balance between being close to the action and providing a quiet, restorative retreat. For anyone planning a trip to Honolulu and looking for a very nice, convenient, and peaceful home base, the Marina Tower is highly recommended for a vacation rental. It's a truly lovely place to visit and enjoy the beauty of Oahu.
Initially, we were a bit sceptical after reading some of the reviews, but our experience was entirely positive. We had no issues during our stay.
The apartment included a secure parking spot inside the building, accessible via a roller door. Both lifts were fully operational—no breakdowns or long wait times. All amenities were in good working order.
Aircon worked great and kept the room nice and cool. Every night our young children and us slept nicely without issues.
Laundry facilities are available on levels 3 and 4, and both the washing machines and dryers worked perfectly. We purchased a $10 laundry card from the vending machine on level 4 and prepaid $5 onto it. The washing machines cost $2.75 per load and the dryers $2.25, with each cycle taking about an hour.
The location is ideal—within walking distance to shops, restaurants, beaches, and the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
We will definitely be booking this place again!

The lobster tail, although mildly grilled was fantastic, soft and tasty.
Service was indifferent and slow
Service is good and you almost always get seated right away.
My only issue is that the spice level sometimes is low, we like medium and it occasionally comes mild instead. Either way it is always tasty. Highly recommended.
Plus parking in the garage is only $1 with validation.
