I stayed at the hotel for two nights and three days in late December 2025. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The heating system in my room was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep. During my entire stay, there was no housekeeping service or towel replacement, which was very inconvenient. The building also feels quite old; even the elevator rattled whenever it moved...

I could overlook the minor inconveniences, such as the poor service and occasional rudeness of a receptionist, but two major issues made my stay uncomfortable. First, my room was extremely dark as it faced an interior courtyard with little natural light. Second, there was pet fur everywhere, which was especially problematic since I have allergies. I did not see any prior warning that these rooms allowed...

Our room on the 8th was spotless and well-kept. Location was perfect for easy access to the Lyric Opera Theatre. Our only complaint was the breakfast. Plan on bringing your own or eating elsewhere.

There is a refrigerator, microwave, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer. The shower head is fixed to the wall. The location was good. I recommend it.

The hotels location was great for going to the Chicago theater. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was very fast and efficient. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Only downside was one of the elevators was out of service so there was a little bit of a wait to use the only working one.

Make sure to ask about parking in advance. The hotel is right in the city center, next to the Chicago River. From the floor-to-ceiling balcony, you can lie back and watch the scenery and people passing by.

The hotel's location is fantastic! The rooms are well-equipped and artistically decorated. It's very close to several famous attractions, all within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent, right in the city center by the river, and the hotel's design is very unique. The room is spacious and extremely clean. The staff are also very nice. However, the area felt a bit unsafe at night, and there were holes in the bedding, which shouldn't happen at a hotel of this caliber.

Still under construction so no amenities, paper thin walls, no house keeping at all, unaccommodating staff, I will be staying elsewhere next time. Better options in this price point.

The location was great and made it easy to navigate about the city. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the perks of staying here were great. They offered a complimentary item from the coffee shop and hosted happy hour during my stay. My room was neat and well kept and a great place for me to land.

Staff were great but the water temp through the shower was hard to control. Even on cold it was really hot water coming out of the shower head. But otherwise the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Accommodations were comfortable overall with a couple slight disappointments. Certain aspects of the room had not been maintained (the vinyl flooring was in desperate need of repair and cleaning). Our son attended an event at IIT and this place was a great place to stay. Just minutes from campus. The room was clean and had just been remodeled. Free parking is a bonus. A wonderful hotel, located in the city center. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, which is important to me. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very beautiful, clean, and equipped with all the amenities. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The view from the windows was amazing; I admired the city at night. I really liked the hotel, except that the room service didn't come every day, I had to go to reception and ask for cleaning and changing the towels. Hotels in the United States are similar, but it was too expensive during my visit. I don’t know why, so I had to find a relatively cost-effective hotel close to the company.

Visited Chicago during the Auto Show @ McCormick Place. We travelled during the off season, so the rates were reasonably priced $$120 night. The room we had was very clean, modern and spacious, we were upgraded to a suite. I had a great big room that was as clean as they come. The staff was really nice. Free coffee in the morning in addition to the stuff in the room. The fridge was a little bigger than most hotel rooms I've been in.

Bringing wrong car from valet extended our wait to 30 minutes and there’s three valet workers we saw. Loved the room and staff though.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice room…very comfortable and spacious. I especially loved that large bathroom with its great shower! I loved the location of the place…very walkable to museums and the theater district. And the cafe next door has excellent food…we ate there every day ( twice for breakfast and once for lunch!

the location is great:  you can easily find food(shake shack, Starbucks) nearby. It is right next to a bus stop, where you can go to main tourist spots within 15 mins.  I love how the room is decorated, it's pretty and exquisite!  It would be better if vending machines and more modern drinking fountains are introduced. 

Pros: The room is very beautiful, the overall decoration is very exquisite, the breakfast downstairs is very American style, and the portion is very large. Cons: The mattress has been used for a very long time, the support is very poor, there is a very obvious depression when lying on both sides, and my neck got stiff on the first night, and it was not relieved until I changed hotels.

The Emily is a very nice hotel, but I was a little underwhelmed by it for some reason. Nice hotel in a great location. First room smelled of cigarette smoke and cannabis. We asked to be moved and it was better. Bathroom wasn’t super clean with other people’s hair. Everything else, including the water you can get for free and coffee in the morning were a nice gesture. Would recommend, esp if you don’t mind nicotine.

The bartender Renee is the absolute best hands down! She has been there for a long time she needs a decent raise and a promotion. It’s a very friendly and inviting atmosphere plenty of options on food and drinks right in the heart of downtown. 5 stars

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing, so pleasant, and accommodating. Every morning we were greeted by the front desk. The bartender at the Adamus was fantastic. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was that it's a bit dated and shows. The wallpaper was peeling and the carpets were coming up at the seams. But overall a great hotel.

The rooms were ok for Chicago standards, small but fit the purpose. The breakfast is a disaster - they cater for all these people but they don’t have enough seating for. You had to wait for a really long time because of ill catering. The food was average. There is no water in the room.

Really great breakfast options. Not just a muffin and coffee. Mini omelettes, sausage, potatoes, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, coffee, make your own waffle, breads, scones, muffins!

Simply one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had; clean, spacious room, best shower pressure ever, quality gym, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, inviting lobby, great views of the city. The cost of parking was the only drawback, but Spot Hero had a great alternative.

The room is moderately sized, and the sanitary environment and facilities are all good. It is very close to the train station. There is a famous chain pizza restaurant at the door of the hotel. It is also a ten-minute walk from several famous attractions such as the Art Museum and Millennium Park. You can also walk along the riverside trail to enjoy the scenery and go shopping at the Luxury Mile.

Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop located nearby the station. This is super conveniences to getting there. Many coffee shop, convenience stores and restaurants are located surrounding. Gym room is good and this is why I chose Hilton Garden.
