I stayed at the hotel for two nights and three days in late December 2025.
Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
The heating system in my room was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep.
During my entire stay, there was no housekeeping service or towel replacement, which was very inconvenient.
The building also feels quite old; even the elevator rattled whenever it moved...
I could overlook the minor inconveniences, such as the poor service and occasional rudeness of a receptionist, but two major issues made my stay uncomfortable. First, my room was extremely dark as it faced an interior courtyard with little natural light. Second, there was pet fur everywhere, which was especially problematic since I have allergies. I did not see any prior warning that these rooms allowed...
Our room on the 8th was spotless and well-kept. Location was perfect for easy access to the Lyric Opera Theatre. Our only complaint was the breakfast. Plan on bringing your own or eating elsewhere.
Breakfast without eggs, bacon and cheese, 😩😩😩
It is near the bus stop, convenient to travel, breakfast is ok, room is clean.
There is a refrigerator, microwave, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer. The shower head is fixed to the wall. The location was good. I recommend it.

Room was excellent. Everything was clean and the amenities were fantastic. Staff was very warm and helpful. Will go back
This is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities that feel kind of luxurious. We especially loved the huge tub in our room. Also, the staff was amazing. One gripe we had is that we paid quite a bit more for a lake view room and we were on the eighth floor, which did not really afford much of a view. We called the front desk to see if we could get a higher floor and they said there was nothing available...
✨An Unforgettable Stay at Park Hyatt Chicago ✨
I had the absolute joy of celebrating my mom’s retirement with a special staycation at the newly renovated Park Hyatt Chicago — and I can honestly say, it was perfection from start to finish.
Even before we arrived, the service was warm, thoughtful, and truly world-class. A very special thank you to Casey Frankel, who went above and beyond to make our...
Everything about this hotel was perfection.
Front desk service was the best Ive experienced, their conceirge was so sweet and kind, all of the front door-men were courteous. I wish we could extend our vacation!
Our room was beautiful, relaxing, spacious, and had great views of the lake. Lets talk about the bathoom- 10/10. I felt like we were in our own spa! Ugh such a perfect way to end the back half...
I spent 6 nights in May 2025, experiencing 2 different rooms.
The stay was overall fine but far from being perfect.
The rooms are the highlight of the stay. They are specious, feels luxurious, providing a great view (for the tower/lake view ones) and very good bathroom.
The Spa is a true disappointment for such hotel: the steam room and pool feels tier 2 and old, miles away from any equivalent other...
We stopped in in Chicago a few weeks ago for a few days and stayed in the Park Hyatt hotel and with the ocean view. From the time we arrived until the time we were leaving, the customer service was top tier. All of the staff were very accommodating. The room service we ordered for breakfast was great. Alot of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again for my next...

The hotels location was great for going to the Chicago theater. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was very fast and efficient. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Only downside was one of the elevators was out of service so there was a little bit of a wait to use the only working one.
Totally surprised by all the great reviews. The location was great and the staff was friendly. Beyond that this was not what we were expecting and was not a pleasant stay. The room was not as pictured. No chair or table or anywhere to sit other than the bed. Our room was directly above the entrance and loud music played continuously which could be heard through the wall all night long. One elevator...
Make sure to ask about parking in advance. The hotel is right in the city center, next to the Chicago River. From the floor-to-ceiling balcony, you can lie back and watch the scenery and people passing by.
The hotel's location is fantastic! The rooms are well-equipped and artistically decorated. It's very close to several famous attractions, all within walking distance. Highly recommended.
Absolutely best hotel for the trip. Top notch on comfort level. The only complaint I have is the hot chocolate at lobby was not available during our stay. Sad.
The location is excellent, right in the city center by the river, and the hotel's design is very unique. The room is spacious and extremely clean. The staff are also very nice. However, the area felt a bit unsafe at night, and there were holes in the bedding, which shouldn't happen at a hotel of this caliber.

Still under construction so no amenities, paper thin walls, no house keeping at all, unaccommodating staff, I will be staying elsewhere next time. Better options in this price point.
The location was great and made it easy to navigate about the city. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the perks of staying here were great. They offered a complimentary item from the coffee shop and hosted happy hour during my stay. My room was neat and well kept and a great place for me to land.
Room was great, staff was incredible and so friendly! Location was awesome-restaurant was closed during our stay so -1 Star but would recommend.
Staff were great but the water temp through the shower was hard to control. Even on cold it was really hot water coming out of the shower head. But otherwise the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Accommodations were comfortable overall with a couple slight disappointments. Certain aspects of the room had not been maintained (the vinyl flooring was in desperate need of repair and cleaning). Other amenities in the room were clean and fresh (such as the bed). Temperature control for the room was great, no issues there. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff at the front desk when checking in....
Our room keys didn’t work and we had to venture back downstairs. Slight inconvenience due to small mistake of writing down wrong room number. Very clean room and aesthetically unique. My husband loved the unique bed frame although the mattress was too soft and sunken. Friendly staff.

Our son attended an event at IIT and this place was a great place to stay. Just minutes from campus. The room was clean and had just been remodeled. Free parking is a bonus. Didn't do anything at the hotel, so I can only comment on the room. We had a room towards the center court so it was very quiet.
Clean, quiet. The reception staff is very friendly.
Perfect. If you want to come to chicago, but don't want to stay too far out.But you don't want to be in the mix of the heavy traffic. I realized spacious rooms. They have their own parking lot.So you don't have to worry about paying for parking close to soldier, feel and literally fourteen minutes on the bus to get to the loop.
I like the staff because they made it feel like home. Called the room to check on us to make sure we had the proper accommodations. The staff is so welcoming. It was almost to good to be true. The manager went above and beyond to make sure our booking got straightened out because there was a booking error. Last, the bed was so comfortable. I melted into the sheets like butter. Would definitely recommend...
This hotel is on its last leg. If you’re looking for a place to just rest your head at night, it does the job. It’s one of those places that if you touch it wrong it’s gonna break. No complaints about staff, they were kind from the little interactions we had.
You can tell the hotel is just old and they’re no longer putting money into fixing things. It’s just being barely maintained. We had two key...
I was in town for my daughter's orchestra concert at DePaul. This hotel was in my price range, so I took my chances (the reviews were quite mixed). For check-in, the gal at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed meeting the adorable French bulldog who "helped out" at the counter. No issues at all with the elevator (other reviews stated that the elevators weren't working). The room was...

Location was great but breakfast was not the best.
A wonderful hotel, located in the city center. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, which is important to me. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very beautiful, clean, and equipped with all the amenities. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The view from the windows was amazing; I admired the city at night. I would happily stay at the hotel again on my next trip.
Great hotel, service and great all you can eat breakfast
I have stayed here many times. The location is wonderful. Streeterville is a favorite of mine. The staff are truly helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. I will be returning.
Guys, you basically get what you pay. The hotel is old but it is clean and safe. Very happy with my stay.
Great location. Great staff. Clean room. Amazing shower pressure. What more do you need 😊 Could have just used some more accessible plugs next to the bed that’s all.

The environment is fantastic! The decor is exactly what I wanted, and we even got an upgrade! We felt like we didn't have enough time there. The shopping area downstairs is especially convenient for shopaholics.
The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The view from the window was so-so. The lobby was rather small for a luxury hotel and felt a bit dated. I overslept and didn't have time to eat breakfast, haha.
My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago was exceptional. The room was not just nice, but genuinely lovely and remarkably spacious, with the added charm of an open fireplace and stunning corner views over upper Chicago. I really liked the hotel, except that the room service didn't come every day, I had to go to reception and ask for cleaning and changing the towels. It was very well located, close to the subway and a bike station nearby, I could do everything on foot, I didn't rent a car, the breakfast was wonderful and plentiful, I really liked it and would go back.
The location is excellent, by the river in the city center, close to various attractions, cost-effective, the decoration is relatively new, and the service response is very fast. The only drawback is that there is something wrong with the bathroom design. The shower room only has a shower curtain and no waterproof barrier. Once you take a shower, the entire bathroom is filled with water, and it feels...
The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation and close to the lake. You can walk to Macy's and other large shopping malls. There are also Chicago Bean and Qianxi Park to visit.
Irvin was exceptional and made my family feel great at the hotel
Hotels in the United States are similar, but it was too expensive during my visit. I don’t know why, so I had to find a relatively cost-effective hotel close to the company.
Visited Chicago during the Auto Show @ McCormick Place. We travelled during the off season, so the rates were reasonably priced $$120 night. Great place to stay! Centrally located. Staff we efficient, friendly and the room was spacious and spotless. Highly recommend this Hotel.
Very nice hotel. Small but very clean and a nice boutique look and feel. Staff was very friendly!
The rooms were clean and comfortable!
All the basic amenities provided.
Good location for walking to State street and the parks along MIchigan Ave.
I had a great big room that was as clean as they come. The staff was really nice. Free coffee in the morning in addition to the stuff in the room. The fridge was a little bigger than most hotel rooms I've been in.
Bringing wrong car from valet extended our wait to 30 minutes and there’s three valet workers we saw. Loved the room and staff though.
This hotel is incredibly clean. The staff super nice and friendly. I will return to this hotel when I come to Chicago.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice room…very comfortable and spacious. I especially loved that large bathroom with its great shower! I loved the location of the place…very walkable to museums and the theater district. And the cafe next door has excellent food…we ate there every day ( twice for breakfast and once for lunch!

the location is great: you can easily find food(shake shack, Starbucks) nearby. It is right next to a bus stop, where you can go to main tourist spots within 15 mins.
I love how the room is decorated, it's pretty and exquisite!
It would be better if vending machines and more modern drinking fountains are introduced.
Pros: The room is very beautiful, the overall decoration is very exquisite, the breakfast downstairs is very American style, and the portion is very large.
Cons: The mattress has been used for a very long time, the support is very poor, there is a very obvious depression when lying on both sides, and my neck got stiff on the first night, and it was not relieved until I changed hotels.
The room was clean and very nice
Nice room, affordable price and good location
The location is very good. The buffet breakfast is average. The breakfast served is delicious.
The hotel is nicely decorated and relatively new, but the downside is that the soundproofing is extremely poor! I was woken up by the slamming of doors every morning, and I could hear the waiters talking outside.

Everything about this hotel is special. Great staff- awesome restaurant/bar. Location is perfect. This hotel is my destination every time I come to the city. Which is quite often.
Nice newer hotel with lots of options. Rooms are a bit industrial but fine, nothing super luxurious but adequate.
My wife and I were in town for a quick two nights. The Emily was in a perfect location. Several amazing restaurants were maybe two blocks away. The rooftop bar is amazing. The rooms are comfortable.
The room was spotless, the people were accommodating and very nice, and it was a great quiet stay!
Yes room was clean and orderly with everything in place. Front desk and dining staff were professional and thoughtful. Music in restaurant was a bit high for volume, more relaxing type of music would be nice. Food was good and happy hour specials were nice. enjoyed our stay.
The Emily is a very nice hotel, but I was a little underwhelmed by it for some reason. Going into it, my impression was “new hotel with minimalist approach that has an artsy vibe.” We did find some art in one area by the elevator but I was expecting much more. We stayed in a King Deluxe and the room had everything we needed but did feel a little drab - maybe it’s the choice of paint color in the hallways...

Nice hotel in a great location. First room smelled of cigarette smoke and cannabis. We asked to be moved and it was better. Bathroom wasn’t super clean with other people’s hair. Everything else, including the water you can get for free and coffee in the morning were a nice gesture. Would recommend, esp if you don’t mind nicotine.
The bartender Renee is the absolute best hands down! She has been there for a long time she needs a decent raise and a promotion. It’s a very friendly and inviting atmosphere plenty of options on food and drinks right in the heart of downtown. 5 stars
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing, so pleasant, and accommodating. Every morning we were greeted by the front desk. The bartender at the Adamus was fantastic. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was that it's a bit dated and shows. The wallpaper was peeling and the carpets were coming up at the seams. But overall a great hotel.
1 word, 3 syllables. BE....VER....LY..... I read many great reviews about this place, the staff, and ideal location which is why I booked for my stay, but nobody talks enough SPECIFICALLY about Beverly, she was the highlight of each day I stayed, seeing her and chatting right before I when out to the streets of Chicago. I stayed 2 nights from May 13 and Beverly was so nice and kind. Also, other front desk staffs were great, too.
Great location and I stayed Room 310, I was not bothered at all with Subway Train noise.
I definitely stay here again, when I visit Chicago again. Most of tourist attractions are within walking distance. Include shopping…
I was disappointed. The bathroom walls were filthy. The vents were very filthy.

There were strands of hair on the bed, Also, they charged 35 USD for a movie i never watched.
The rooms were ok for Chicago standards, small but fit the purpose. The breakfast is a disaster - they cater for all these people but they don’t have enough seating for. You had to wait for a really long time because of ill catering. The food was average. There is no water in the room.

Check in was super quick and hassle-free. Upon check out they refunded my deposit on my credit card within 30 minutes. The hotel has a nice cool vibe. Cool music playing. The room is clean, comfy bed. Room amenities was average. Hair dryer lacked power. But we truly enjoyed having Alexa in the room :D Many plug points in the room which made it convenient. Great location, super cute room. Friendly staff
The front desk staff A+.
Very courteous, accommodating, and HELPFUL!
On point with recommendations and willing to give time to share in conversation 🤘🏻
Fun rock and roll/hip hop vibe and decorations in thr boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown. Easy to walk to a ton of restaurants and bars. Has a coffeehouse, bakery, and bar, all on site. Cool rooms that were plenty big for me and clean/comfortable. Special shoutout to Val at the front desk who was able to get me in a room well before check-in time. Would absolutely stay here again.

Really great breakfast options. Not just a muffin and coffee. Mini omelettes, sausage, potatoes, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, coffee, make your own waffle, breads, scones, muffins!

This hotel was located in a perfect spot. The hotel itself was beautiful. The service was great. The breakfast wasn’t amazing but it’s also a hotel breakfast so I didn’t expect much.

We stayed at the parking garage for the medical center across the street for $20 a day. Air conditioning ******. Staff are just ok.
Nice clean rooms. Staff is always smiling. The bar area could upgrade the sound system as the acoustics are muffled.
Nice enough of a hotel for the price but I found 50 dollars a night to park a bit expensive. They don’t supply free coffee other than what is in the room. There isn’t a free breakfast and the breakfast menu is expensive.

Had a really great and easy stay here. Clean and newer quality rooms, sweet staff, centrally located. Would definitely stay here again when in Chicago.
Simply one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had;

Staff was very helpful and accommodating bringing us a fan to our room and helping us find our way around town. The hotel was very modern and clean. I would definitely stay again.
Good location to reach out all science places. Giordano’s deep dish pizza is very near from hotel. Walking 5 mins to Skydeck Chicago building.
The room is moderately sized, and the sanitary environment and facilities are all good. It is very close to the train station. There is a famous chain pizza restaurant at the door of the hotel. It is also a ten-minute walk from several famous attractions such as the Art Museum and Millennium Park. You can also walk along the riverside trail to enjoy the scenery and go shopping at the Luxury Mile.
Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop located nearby the station. This is super conveniences to getting there. Many coffee shop, convenience stores and restaurants are located surrounding. Gym room is good and this is why I chose Hilton Garden.
