This is a friendly charming lay back place. My wife and I and all the other guests we have met adore it. Couldn't be happier.

Value for money kind of place. No frills and no fuss but very well located, especially if you going to game at Fenway. In a great neighbourhood. Very comfortable.

The employees were nice. The walls are rather thin, the shared bathrooms were compact but usable, and at night, the radiator clicked loudly enough to disturb us at least once every night. The location is excellent, the communal areas are stunning, and the rooms itself were adequate. If you're not only visiting Boston for the hotel, this is a terrific spot to stay.

A wonderful vantage point for exploring Boston. Not far from Fenway Park, terrific bars, and fantastic shopping are located over on Back Bay.

The staff was friendly. The shared bathrooms were small, but manageable, the walls are relatively thin, and at night, the radiator clicked loud enough to wake us at least once every night. Other than that, the rooms were decent, the common areas were outright beautiful, and the location is stellar. A great place to stay, assuming you're not visiting Boston for the hotel.

If I could give NO stars I would. This is a charming old home in Boston, however it was FILTHY! I had to clean the bathroom before I would even consider staying. I read reviews that said it was old and worn, which is not a problem, but filth is! The first night was self check in, so there was no one to call. On Monday morning I went down to the front desk and complained and they said that the maid would come up and clean. I was at a conference all day and when I returned at 10:30 pm, no one had been to my room to clean. I ended up staying 2 nights in a nearby hotel with another conference attendee's room. I received a very small credit back on my 4 day stay for $1000, which does not make me happy. The only good thing I can say is that it is in a great location.

Great place to stay. Rooms are very out dated and the bathrooms are extremely small. Cleanliness in room and bathroom could definitely be improved. The housekeeping sign was placed on our door as well as another guest and housekeeping was not completed. Not sure about any of the other rooms, but we could hear our neighbors in their restroom from our restroom. Over all our stay was pleasant.

Was received the wrong passcode into the premises and had to call an emergency number while being out during the blizzard early January. There was no person at the front desk, and everything was very eerie. Would consider going not during the wintertime, but an experience that was hindered by the situation. For the price, it was fair.

First of all, the hours when staff were suppose to be there was completely wrong from the website. They slash their staff hours for off season leaving the place vacant from early afternoon and on but never indicate this on their website. We got an email saying that our room key would be in a drawer in the lobby. We get there, use the passcode emailed to us to get in and find the room keys for multiple days with their day of check in. First of all, this seems like a poor idea to me. It means anyone can just get into your room before you get there. Secondly, our key wasn't even in the drawer. There were two emergency contact numbers, but no one ever answered after repeated calls. I even left messages and no one bothered to call back. We are looking all over, trying to find anyone to help us. I hear noise in the locked office and I start knocking on the door. We then start pounding on the door before a cleaner FINALLY opened it. It took us at least an hour before anyone responded to our yelling for assistance and pounding. We finally get to our room and it seems quite small (not that we expected much) The shower in the shared bathroom had mold all along the edges. The only reason I give this place 2 stars is it's location and the fact that the one time we interacted with an employee (during check out because there was almost never anyone there) he was very nice and helpful.

This was the worst experience I had in a bed and breakfast. My room was neglected and dirty. It is a shame for owners that try to make a place friendly and welcoming. Just check out the pics. No further comments need to be added I believe. (I think the shower is the same that you can find in camping places).

Great spot, esp the lobster. I love this hotel, it's old school and wonderful, but this doesn't seem like one of those generic "hotel restaurants" and I mean that as a high compliment. It def stands alone.

Decided to try Uni when I couldn't get reservations at O Ya. I was not disappointed. Went there with my dear friend, but would also be an excellent first date choice. Nice relaxed vibe and attentive staff. Our waiter was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I enjoyed the sushi especially the spicy tuna roll. We shared a couple of deserts from the desert menu which were light and delicious. Unfortunately no cappuccino maker which would have paired well with the deserts. I am not a big drinker so I can't comment on their extensive alcohol selection. My glass of Chardonnay hit the mark. Would definitely recommend.

The ramen and sushi are perhaps the best of their kinds. I was eating with tears on my face- so delicious! The service is attentive and the ambiance is perfect for all age group. I have to come back over and over.

There were some real highlights, like the ridiculously delicious spicy tuna and foie gras tataki, but the prices were extortionate. $17 for a 4 piece (!) beef au jus roll that was 80% rice? $10 for a single pork rib that was way overdone? $22 for soft and gooey shrimp tempura? And even the tataki, which I loved, was 4 tiny slivers of tuna with 4 even tinier slivers of foie gras sitting on top of them. Charging high prices is not a problem. Charging high prices for no apparent reason is.
