This guesthouse was so wonderful - our favorite stay in Uzbekistan! Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and nice AC, the shower and bathtub had hot water and great pressure, and the wifi worked well
Breakfast was fantastic with a nice omelette and homemade bread and apricot jam from the garden
I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. the host is a true gentleman. he is very welcoming and a pleasure to have a conversation with. the guesthouse is very well situated within the fortress
Meet Shakir, a gentleman, fourth generation living in the 120 years old house. Rooms are spacious and full of light. All in order. We were delighted to stay there for the night
Additionally, our host was so warm and professional, a true gentleman - always there to greet, holding doors, helping with bags, checking on our comfort in the room
The morning we left for an early flight, he arranged our taxi, was up with us at 5:30am, had a takeaway box with cold bottled water ready to go, and our registration cards for the airport
Breakfast was also delicious, and you are really among local people at this guest house
A haven of peace and tranquility, with unbelievably delicious homemade breakfasts (and evening meal if you choose to eat here). Aziza and her sister and family are the epitome of hospitality and helpfulness
Location is really great -- just steps away from the Tamerlane Mausoleum, and a pleasant 15 or so minute walk from the Registan. The breakfasts here (which include jams from the garden) were absolutely fantastic
Clean comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful owner and staff, delicious food for breakfast and dinner, much locally grown. All served in the garden, very relaxing. Would definitely recommend.
Antica is a beautiful, heritage courtyard garden with the guest rooms around the edges. This guesthouse is perfectly situated in characterful narrow streets clisevto all of Samakand's stunning historic sites
Our family room wasn’t ‘European’ standard but it was clean and comfortable and we were trying to gain an authentic Uzbek guest house - which this is. Thank you for making our stay so welcoming
Friendly host, tasty homemade traditional meals, cosy room with comfortable bed, clean and cheap.
The location is convenient (5ish minute walk to the main street of sights in Khiva). I ate the best eggs of my life there. They were fried on a bed of onions and peppers and had the most perfectly gooey yolk
I tried to recreate them when I got home and failed. They have three kids who are all polite, and were so wonderful playing with our toddler
The owner messaged us to make sure we got to the train ok and made sure we had no hiccups. Overall, I can say I would stay there again without a doubt, whether I had a kid with me or not
The guesthouse is at the west gate, easily located and accessible by cars. The room is clean and comfortable with a large private bathroom. Very nice shower and internet
The host is welcoming and will give you registration card before check-out
My wife and I were treated like kings and the accommodations were spectacular. The staff was superb and very accommodating. We were given suggestions on where to eat and what to see that were very special
Big rooms, clean and quiet, easy walking distance to the Chorsu Bazaar in an older part of town. This charming place was an oasis of calm and quiet. Great service too - the staff is lovely
The interior courtyard is a wonderful place to have breakfast (or wait several hours for a taxi after checkout time, as we did)
The breakfast is abundant includin cottage cheese, sour cream and cherries (to mis together, I learned), manti or samsa, egg, salad (tomato and cucumber), cold cuts and cheese, pastries including baklava, preserved figs, bread, tea, fresh fruit (cherries, peaches, plums and apples)
Location: about 750 m from the Old City. Check in was fast, the personnel have limited English proficiency however will try to help you with a cell phone translator. The rooms are big, with bathroom
However, upon request they will bring you hot tea to your room. The dinning room was spectacular: low table and sitting on a cushion, but the decoration is very sophisticated
The landlord's family is warm and considerate. They solved various problems for us. Every time we came back from a tour, they sent us meals, which touched us deeply
I could not finish it so I would save the leftovers to eat later. Remember that Khiva is a little out of the way from the axis Tashkent, Samarkanda and Bukhara
Very nice and clean place. The lady in charge is very hospitable and goes beyond to make your stay comfortable
This is a beautiful guesthouse with lovely hosts. It is sheltered from the road, so it was very silent at night. The house has inner courtyard with a trestle bed, grapes and fruit trees
The host/owner was very kind and helped us to arrange minivan and tour guide on short notice. When there was an issue with the guide, he helped us to resolve the issue properly without us even asking
A lovely guest house with new, spacious and clean room. Probably the most value-for-money among all the accommodations we have stayed during our trip in Uzbek
Breakfast was good , need to request for early breakfast as we need to go out early for sightseeing. Host wife attended us as host was not around
Sadly, we couldn't use it at the time because it was cold. The room is very spacious and modern, along with the bathroom and with an oriental twist. The homemade breakfast is very tasty and fresh
We asked for breakfast to be packed on our last day as we needed to leave early, and it was done thoughtfully, taking into account what my parents ate during breakfast in previous days
This guesthouse is in the heart of Itchan kala, located close to all attractions and also right next to the teressa rooftop cafe, lovely hosts and lovely granny who is always helpful
loved the hospitality of the family at Qutlug Qadam, Thank you for the friendliness, neat and clean rooms, simply enjoyed the stay at your guest house.
Hosts are very kind people, their cuisine is also wonderful :)
We have stayed there with my husband in October 2022 and we both consider it a great place to stay! Accommodation is placed at the old town and is cosy, well-maintained and has a pleasant climate
Lady’s there were so friendly and nice. They offered lunch a dinner. The quality of the food is on point and super tasty. If I would come back to Khiva, this is gonna be my place again.
It felt like I was visiting my granny in Uzbekistan. We kept yapping about Sharukh Khan and Salman khan. Clean rooms and great breakfast spread

Whether you're traveling solo or with a group, Deshom Kala Guest House is an excellent choice, offering both private rooms and hostel options
If I could, I would give 10 starts to this clean, well manged and lovely guest house. Apart from the organized management, the vibe is so peaceful, although it's hosting many backpackers
Deshom Kala Guest House in Khiva exceeded expectations! Conveniently located near the railway station and major attractions like Ichan Qala, it offered spotless rooms, a delightful kitchen facility, and delicious breakfasts
The breakfast was tasty and filling! The guesthouse is located right next to the south gate so it's very easy to walk to all the main sights in the walled city. I'd definitely stay here again!
But the highlight was the hosts - incredibly friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. They treated me like family, making my stay feel personal and comfortable
A great value hostel located right by South gate. Even though it is outside of old city, it is so close that it doesn't matter
I came to see you at the bucking dot com. I was worried because I did not have a later date, but it was nice to have family members warmly and hospitable. It is also very good for helping the travel route
It’s not close to the main historical areas, but that comes with its advantages: it’s quiet, spacious, and less pricy than central places. It’s run by a family who are kind and very hospitable
It is a reasonable price for travelers in Bukhara. There is a market and a shackle nearby, and market and shashlik prices are very cheap. The address is wrong and the picture is attached
In bukhara i was stay 7 days ..all staff is verry good in hotel rooms very clean .. And hotel owner is verry good person verry polite verry help full person I recommend this hotel..
This hotel is in a very convenient location. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to the city.
All the staff were excellent and the hotel rooms were very clean. The owner is a kind, polite and extremely helpful person. I highly recommend this hotel.
A family of three generations have provided a traditional, beautifully appointed guest house. Very clean with all the basic needs provided. The breakfasts are homemade and traditional, something for everyone
It’s worth getting the guest house to organise a transfer for your arrival but once orientated you will see how conveniently placed for the nearby historical sights, markets & restaurants
Absolutely wonderful family-run guest house. The place is conveniently located and close to all major sights in Bukhara
A quite decent place in a strict city centre, although it might be a bit difficult to find the location for the first time. And you won't be able to drive and stop there if you're traveling by car
It's quite close to Old Town, and the family-run accommodations are incredibly friendly. Even though I was leaving at 4 a.m., they prepared breakfast and even saw me off. Thank you again.
The service at this hotel was friendly, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying, and the location was good. It's near the tourist spots.
The entrance is through their own café, which is a big plus. The food and drinks are excellent, and they bake a variety of pastries in-house, which you’ll also enjoy at breakfast
The hostel attached to ‘Donuts and Coffee’ has around four rooms. The rooms themselves are simply constructed, with floors that creak, but the building is new and comfortable to stay in
The location is unbeatable — just a few steps and you’re already in the center of Old Bukhara. Breakfast was generous and delicious, made even better by the kindness of the lady who serves it
Overall, it's a hotel that leaves a favourable impression, making me want to stay again. However, it might suit some people more than others
Tip: On Yandex, the hotel appears as Sarrafon B&B. Cars can’t stop directly in front of the hotel, so Yandex may drop you a short walk away
My room was clean and very comfortable, with great heating. I especially loved the heated bathroom floor and the reliable shower heater
We stayed in a guest house for two nights, there were 12 of us, the room was very simple, but very cozy and clean, there was no closet, there was no refrigerator in the room, but we knew about it and we didn’t need it, the location of the hotel is just excellent , 5 minutes and you are in the center of the old city, this was important for us, the breakfasts are very decent, I recommend a visit!
The hosts were really nice and kind and even let me check out a couple hours late to accommodate me for the train. Please stay here and give them your business!
Nice little family run guesthouse, well positioned fir Bukhara exploration,
Great location, close to all the sites but also in a quiet and peaceful area away from the noise. The rooms and bathroom were super clean with good space and comfy beds. Amazing breakfast included in the morning
The best location in the center of Buhoro. The rooms are impeccably clean, freshly renovated, and have a very quiet courtyard where the most delicious national breakfasts are served. Thank you
Excellent budget hotel, everything is new and clean, friendly owner, ready to help in solving various issues. I liked everything very much. I advise everyone to stay here on a modest budget.
Bukhara, City Center, M.Payraviy 38, 200100 Buhara, Uzbekistan 🧭 Map
Great location, very close to the Ark of Bukhara, Poi Kalon, and other main attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The host is extremely welcoming and warm, which made the stay even better. Highly recommended!
But I wouldn't return because the room my friend and I stayed in had no working AC, the hostess raised her voice at me angrily which made me feel uncomfortable and there was a midnight curfew
Hostel Payraviy is located in the heart of the city, with everything just a 5–10 minute walk away. The hostel has a very traditional and homely vibe, and it is neat and clean. The owner is extremely warm and helpful
Despite our arrival after midnight, he opened the guest house for us and offered us a place to sleep. He then also accepted foreign currency as we didn't have UZS
His son speaks English and is available on calls to assist, and if required, he even comes to the hostel to help. I would definitely recommend Hostel Payraviy
Very helpful people, charming place. But one drawback - the room doesn't have a door. At one point the host just barged into my room to hand me a receipt
Great location! The cleanliness of the rooms and the hospitality of the owners make us want to come back again!
A pleasant area inside the yard where you can spend time.
We stayed at Nippon Hotel for over 20 days, and it was an amazing experience. The manager treated us very well and made sure everything was perfect during our stay
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the service was excellent
The rooms are spacious and shoes are strictly prohibited, which is fine for Japanese people, but even though the hotel says "NIPPON" on the wall, when the owner isn't there, no one can understand either Japanese or English
Even getting hot water requires Google Translate. When I went to get hot water in the morning, I was greeted with a very sullen face. I've never heard of a hotel manager who wakes up later than the guests
The rooms are spacious and shoes are strictly prohibited, so it's probably good for Japanese people, but even though it says NIPPON, no one can understand Japanese or English unless the owner is there
The family who runs this guest house are so kind. Very beautiful home with lots of outdoor space, in a quiet neighborhood. All of the sights are walkable. Definitely recommend 👍
I did not actually stay at this guest house, but the owners were incredibly kind to us when we were lost. I wish that I had booked with them instead of where I stayed.
Very polite and welcoming people! Enjoyed my days there! Necessities are provided, house is quite huge, and prices are low! Thanks for welcoming us!
Everything is great, the hosts are hospitable, it's great
The host was very friendly and helpful. Nice seating areas in the inner courtyard to enjoy the complimentary tea. Very close to the main sights
Helpful staff who can speak English. Clean and spotless room and bathroom. Quiet place outside hostel hubs where you can avoid Lonely Planet travellers
New hotel with very cool spa center. I want to admit presence of brush for footwear (and it was not a plastic sponge, but wooden brush👏👏) and umbrella on reception: it was life saviour for us in rainy days in Samarkand
Spa center also use sustainable options: big bottles of shampoo, reusable blankets for massage: this is very cool, that hotel care about reducing waste. Breakfasts were good, but not big variety of choices for vegan
We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. We were welcomed with tea and local treats. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Around the hotel plenty of restaurants and shops
Very good value for money like one of the cheapest in Samarkand with short walking distance to Registan. So glad that I booked here to save budget while enjoying my stay
A good family mini-hotel right in the center of the old town of Ichan Kala. All attractions within walking distance. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is served in the morning
The location is wonderful, but most importantly, it is the owner who made the stay even better. He was so welcoming and accommodating even though he did not speak much English. Overall one of the best stay I had so far.
Tea and coffee are available throughout the day. You can order lunch, which will be served at a convenient time for the client
Family run hotel with cleanliness and good breakfast. The hospitality of the owners is especially great.
Small hotel very well located in the ancient city of Khiva. Owner welcoming and friendly!
Great little hotel in the old town. Free breakfast. Silence.
