Honestly this place deserves more than 3.9! I would give it mid 4 stars… it is not “luxury” but it is a really great value - the rooms are remodeled with comfy beds and everything you need in toiletries, the breakfast is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly! Let's keep it simple with a pros and cons review! Pros: cheaper than many other hotel considering position and season (ski season), free ski lockers, 30mt from gondolas (cable car), big, varied and tasty breakfast, nice mountain hotel-like mood with a nice hall with fireplace, pool table books and bar. This hotel was chosen as part of a school ski trip. The rooms are basic but good. The bathroom was alright - had an odd set up with the shower curtain. Dining room is on the 6th floor. The food was good and had variety every night. Staff were very helpful.

Stayed in the hotel bc i booked a skii trip through an agency. The hotel is good, like 15 mins from the center walking, nice staff. My meals were included on the package i purchased but i dont eat any type of meat or eggs. They were nice enough to make a special meal for me. I think its a family owned hotel.

Our stay at Xalet Montana was absolutely wonderful. The food deserves a special mention truly outstanding. A beautiful hotel with amazing staff. We only stayed one night. The room is a bit small, but we just used it to shower and sleep. Not being inside the capital made for a quiet night sleep. good place for skiing, although it is a bit of walk to the lift and El Tarter or Soldeu, there is bp fuel station 3 mins to buy your basics and a few restaurants and 1 takeaway nearby. Don't know why people complain about location. You get what you paid for. If you are here for skiing only, it is a decent spot.

Overall it's ok. Comfortable and the staff is quite nice. The meals served could have a little bit more variety but I'd say the only really negative feature is the internet. A very pleasant and peaceful place, perfect for those seeking nature. The facilities are good; they have a children's play area in the lobby, which other hotels don't offer, and my daughters had a fantastic time. The dinner buffet could be improved; there wasn't much variety. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful few days and highly recommend it.

The value for money is quite good, and the breakfast buffet is adequate, though not very varied. The children's bunk bed in the rooms has a metal frame and no safety rails, so it's not suitable for young children. We couldn't use the top bunk because it didn't have side rails, and if the child turned around, they could fall.

The hotel is perfectly located beside a chair lift up to the slopes and the ski rental / ski lockers were located at the hotel. The hotel is a perfect place to spend a hiking holiday. It's clean and comfortable and it has a good parking space. With the car, you can get everywhere in Andorra quickly. They have a good variety in their dinner menu and the food has always been tasty. Some of the rooms have a balcony, especially the single rooms.
