During my stay there was a serious security incident: at around 4:40 AM another guest opened my room door because reception mistakenly issued them a key card for my room. This was understandably very alarming while I was sleeping. To the hotel’s credit, once the issue was reported they acknowledged the mistake and provided a refund for the stay. I hope the hotel improves its room key control procedures to prevent this kind of situation from happening to other guests in the future.

I had a reservation at Wihren Royal Palace from January 20th to January 23rd for three people. After checking in on the first day, I went skiing. Shortly after, I received the sad news of a family member’s passing, which forced me to leave immediately and return home. The other two guests continued their stay, while only I had to leave due to this unexpected situation. I informed the reception and requested a refund for my part only, as I did not stay even one night and could not use any of the hotel services. The staff contacted the manager, who categorically refused my request. I understand hotel policies, but given the circumstances, I expected more understanding and flexibility. The staff’s attitude during this process was not very supportive, making an already difficult situation even harder.

Avoid at all cost if you dont want to suffer from cold rooms, low preassure water and no hot water also expect electricity sudenly to stop in some of the rooms. Very expencive outdated rooms in some part of the hotel. No parking only Blue Paid Zone. In the rooms you dont have radiators or central heating system no air condition the only thing you have to use in apartament, studio or rooms is small heat converter. Not recommended i advice look for another Hotel and possibly not in Bansko as the all city suffer from low preassure water and no hot water in some areas. AVOID!!!

The worst experience ever. Rude and unprepared staff, unsafe room (anyone could enter without a card), very very bad New Year's Eve meal, food for breakfast and dinner, just eat it if you don't starve.

We had a lovely stay a year ago, so we decided to return to enjoy skiing and the New Year's Eve. Not sure what happened in the mean time, but almost everything was terrible this time and more expensive by 50%! Especially the white collar staff's attitude was something: arogant and somewhat agresive. It took 3 (working) days to get the shower's gel dispenser in our bathroom fixed by the technical staff. It might have been my problem I wasn't able to fanthom staying to a 4 star hotel that couldn't provide soap to the bathroom, at least an alternative to the broken dispenser!? 😅 The Gala Dinner that we payed for 9 persons was served for 8, and it took us a lot of time to convince the Restaurant Chief that the table she wanted to place us had only 8 seats, we even counted on fingers, as she was pretending to not understand our stance. The serving staff wasn't able to speak English, thus some "mistakes" were made regarding our table bills that we couldn't set straight because... they weren't speaking English! 😂 Plus, that the bills were issued to a different entity than the hotel, even if we payed at the Hotel Reception! The "entertainment" at the Gala dinner was awful, some guys pretending to sing.... Opera, but out of tune, made our ears hurt! Unfortunatelly and sadly, our New Year's Eve was a disaster until we got up and walked away to our rooms, before midnight. The only thing I could say is that the cleaning staff was the only one that was doing their job thoroughly. Conclusion: we will never go back to this hotel.

I’m honest with my reviews! For the price wow this is spot on.
3 Jacuzzis, 2 saunas, steam room, a big pool and an awesome lounge bar with pool tables and more. Great staff and great hospitality. People should stop complaining for the small things in life. אחלה מקום

The hotel has plenty of facilities, staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet had lot's of choice of cold and hot items, the spa was nice with an outdoor hot tub. The rooms were a little dated with small twin beds and our bath leaked from underneath but the shower was nice and hot! Location for the gondola was perfect.

This is a pretty frugal place. The room was clean, but very basic.

No hair conditioner or shampoo in the bath.

TV did not work properly - we could not cast from either my phone or laptop, Netflix or prime video on the TV did not work, HDMI cable from my laptop did not work either.

Spa had no towels when we got there. They said it was on its way, but even half an hour later there were no towels.

At breakfast, we had to wait for a while for the coffee machine to be ready, bread was missing for a long while, cups were missing etc.

There is no ski room in the hotel, so we had to take our equipment with us to our room.

The hotel is divided into two sections, and getting to the rooms in the "other" section is like a maze - long and confusing.

The location is great, maybe 300 yards from the town ski gondola, pretty much as central as it gets.

- There was no ski equipment room, so I had to carry my gear to the room.
- The room was very far from the entrance, and I had to go through three elevators and hidden doors (it was like a journey).
- On some days, there was no hot water.
- The bed was for children, with a wooden plank at the end that didn't allow me to stretch my legs.
- Additionally, dogs were barking outside all night.
- In the morning, I went to the reception with other Israelis, and everyone had the same bad experience.
- The staff was rude and not helpful at all.
- The only good things were the spa and the location of the hotel.
